The wind is definitely part of the experience on the island, but it’s not the same everywhere. Some beaches are more exposed and better for water sports, while others are more sheltered and easier for a relaxed day. It can vary depending on the time of year and even the time of day. Most visitors adjust by choosing beaches that match what they want to do that day. Once you get a feel for it, it’s easy to plan around it and still enjoy plenty of beach time .
