Melbourne Beach Weather – When to Visit
Average temperatures in Melbourne vary somewhat. Considering humidity, temperatures feel hot for about half of the year and otherwise nice with a fair chance of precipitation about half of the year. The hottest months are July thru September. Highs are regularly around 91°F with temperatures rarely dropping below 75°F at night. The busiest months February, March and July. Prices for hotels and flights will be most expensive during these months, though you can save if you purchase well in advance.

Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge
The Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge in Melbourne Beach is considered by biologist to be the most important nesting area for loggerhead sea turtles in the western hemisphere and the second most important nesting beach in the world. Located in the heart of the refuge, the center offers exhibits, environmental education programs and tours, and auditorium with orientation/nature films, a gift shop, 3/4 mile foot trail and lagoon launch.
Spessard Holland North Beach Park
Spessard Holland North Beach Park in Melbourne Beach is a 6.5-acre community beach side park with seasonal lifeguards. A popular family park featuring a 150′ boardwalk and two small pavilions, it provides easy beach access for surf fishing and beach goers. Coconut Point Park
Coconut Point Park is a 36.9-acre community beach side park is a popular sea turtle nesting site. Also popular for surfing, beach combing and fishing, this Melbourne Beach park’s amenities include a picnic shelter, restrooms, and outside showers. One of the two dune crossovers is also wheelchair accessible. Coconut Point Park is also listed in state of Florida Great Florida Birding Trail’s. Juan Ponce de León Landing
This 25.57-acre regional beach park features 2 beach crossovers, a small pavilion, restrooms, and parking. The park commemorates the epic 1513 voyage of Juan Ponce de León and his landing near Melbourne Beach, Florida on April 2.
