This is a detailed description of Mallorca, the beaches, the hotels and price ranges, the food and activities.  The reviews are also good.  However I would like to know if these places are still functional considering what is happening world over with Covid-19?  If someone arrives from a country like Namibia, how many days quarantine does the person stay before exploring these nice places?   If people have had the vaccinations, is it easier to get to Spain?

Restrictions have been lifted for vacationing to Spain, which includes Mallorca.  They do require a mask be worn on any public transit, or in any public spaces.  There will be a health upon arrival to include temperature taken, overall general health assessment, and a document check.  One of the documents is to complete an FCS form which has on it your name, ID, and flight information.  This is to be filled out 4 hours prior to date of departure.  So no vaccine or quarantine required.  Two many differences post covid is the FCS form and general temperature/health check.  I hope this helps.  Not a problem unless you have covid symptoms.  Having the vaccine doesn’t make it easier getting there, it is pretty simple now that they have opened back up.  Hope this helps.

    Hi Leahrae,

What a beautiful site. My wife has been to Spain for work and was living there for seven months. She’s spoken really highly of the beauty and incredible history of the place. It’s definitely somewhere we would enjoy going for a vacation as it’s something we haven’t done before. Thanks for putting together the option for us.

Wow, Mallorca, Spain looks amazing. So the best time to visit for deals would be January and February. That’s perfect for me as Portland is a dark rainy and gloomy place at that time of year. Do most of the hotels have air conditioning. Which hotel would be the best if traveling with two daughters ages 12 and 8?

    Reply
    1. Leahrae (Post author)

Yes, you will find air conditioning all in the hotels.  Ok, for the best family friendly hotels try these three:  Zafiro Palace Alcudia,VIVA Blue & Spa, or the Zafiro Palmanova  All three are great choices with wonderful huge pool areas as well.  Thanks for visiting my Mallorca Spain Hotels guide.

This website is one I want to keep .Mallorca is the perfect destination for people from St. Louis, or from anywhere in the mid- west.  January and February are the perfect months to get away from ice, snow and freezing rain and howling winds.

You have set everything up so that a person can pick the place, the hotel, the restaurant, everything can be planned , down to the last little thing. Pictures of the various beaches are lovely. and I’m impressed that some beaches have been preserved by being privately owned , or in a national park. The islands off Spain is a wonderful place to go, and anyone looking for a special place for a vacation, need not look any further. Beautiful pictures and excellent information.

Way back in the 1990s I had a good friend who visited Mallorca Spain and sent me a postcard. I have enchanted with its beauty ever since, and yet it is still on my list of places that I want to visit but haven’t been yet. Thank you for the reminder that I need to see this beautiful place and for all the practical recommendations of how to best enjoy the time in Mallorca!

I have never been to Mallorca and after reading this post, I have put it on my bucket list. The island looks amazing and S’Aramador will be a definite destination for me.

You mention than January and February are good months to get good deals on rooms, but is it not very cold then? It would be a pity to go and it is not warm enough to enjoy a long walk on the beach.

It is a definite bucket list item and you will enjoy.  No, I would not recommend a beautiful beach destination if it were too cold.  Can’t really enjoy this type of destination with cold weather 🙂  Long walks on the beach are always great!

Mallorca sounds like Las Vegas on an Island.

I love nature and i encourage most of my peers to have relaxations in the woods, on the beach. It’s very interesting.

Back in my youth (not my prime) i used to enjoy Les Vegas lifestyle whenever i wanted out but as time as progressed I’ve become more wise and careful about my mind and body. I’d go and spend a vacation in a place like Mallorca and never regret a bit.

Do you think I can organize a group of seniors to Mallorca from USA?

I think you could organize a group of seniors to go to Mallorca!  That would be fun!  Yes, I used to live in St. George Utah and visited Vegas all the time.  Now I am just really enjoying living on the ocean in Florida.  Can’t be beat.  Let me know if I can help in your endeavor to put together a senior trip to Mallorca.

Thank you for this holiday advice. I love the seaside and I would like to go to Mallorca. Hope to spare some money to afford a good holiday on the seaside with my husband. We still have to go to our honeymoon. I have been to Spain twice and I loved it. I love the people, love the climate, love the food. Mallorca must be a jewel.

I must follow your advice, then.

I would really like to visit the island capital. It is the largest city of the Balearic archipelago and also the most monumental. I want to dedicate a full day or, at least, a few hours well spent in Palma de Mallorca.

From the impressive Cathedral of Majorca to the Bellver Castle, the Almudaina Palace, its Roman remains, the narrow streets of the Jewish quarter, the Majorcan patios, the promenade, the beaches and my list goes on and one. I will have to settle down with just a couple.
