Thank you for taking the time to provide such a great source of information for Ios Island Greece.

I like to plan ahead and have some recommendations in hand.  As well as planning and securing our hotel and activities.  You have given me a lot of things to think about. Although I haven’t been to Ios island, I have heard some really nice things about the area.  A friend visited Ios and said the beaches are really clean with crystal blue water.   Looks like the restaurants prices are reasonable as well.   I think it’s a nice and comfortable place for a vacation and I’ll love to try it out someday.  Thanks again for sharing this great travel guide.

Wow, Ios Island has so much to offer. The beaches look amazing and in a wonderful tropical location. I believe Ios would be a great place to just relax and enjoy the tropical environment without the congestion of some other tropical locations.

Restaurants look really reasonable. This is definitely a great and affordable escape to take a breath from the issues of the daily lives.

Thanks for a great destiny review post!

When I have made my first 100k this looks like the place to go.  I love to travel and any beach I can get near to is always at the top of my list.  You offered quite a bit of information on this area.  The pictures, I imagine, do not do justice to the natural beauty surrounding the area.  I like the fact that you offer information on the seclusion level.  I myself, enjoy a more private beach experience where I can relieve myself of any clothing.  This will be on the top of my bucket list for sure.  I have wanted to try out cliff diving and also scuba diving.  I have already enjoyed many snorkeling adventures, but the idea of seeing shipwrecks sounds awesome.  One question I do have, I noticed that you included some pricing information on the restaurants.  Is this american $ currency?

Wonderful job on your site and lovely pictures as well.  Best of luck on your new adventure.  Love, Light and Blessings.

Yes, the pricing is in American currency.  Really Ios is a bargain when you compare it to some of the more popular Cyclade islands like Mykonos or Santorini.  Thanks for taking the time to leave me some comments.  I am glad you enjoyed your visit to beach travel destinations.com

I have never actually heard of the island of Ios, oops.. My partner and I haven’t actually explored much of Greece just yet, only having visited Malia back in the partying days haha!

After our trip to Canada we will definitely need our fix of heat and sunshine, so will definitely be checking out Greece. We’ve always wanted to go to Santorini!

Greetings!  I imagine this current crisis is really having a negative impact on the travel industry.  I am looking forward to being able to visit Greece.  The closest I have been was when our ship had leave in Naples Italy.  I see the best times to visit are May – September.  That is really going to be tough to sell while the world is currently closed… pretty much a knockout punch to traveling no?  I appreciate your sharing this.. Right now… unfortunately .. we are not supposed to leave our homes except for essential travel..and even our dog parks are closed.  Looking forward to happier days and visiting Greece!  Looks so Beautiful and inviting!

    Nice topic.

I like the pictures and the text is really easy to read when it comes in small portions at the time.

I have never been to Ios, but I have been ti Crete and that was also really nice even if we where there the last week of the season.

I see you have some hotels there on the page. How is the pricing on Ios?

    Reply
    1. Leahrae (Post author)

The pricing is much better than if you were to head to some of the other islands like Mykonos or Santorini.  Those two in particular are going to be much more expensive making Ios seem like a bargain as far as the Cyclades go.  You can choose a hotel, plug in your dates and find out exactly what the pricing will be for your hotel accommodations.  It really depends on what time of year you want to travel there.

I was a few summers ago now in Kalamos Beach and I want to say that I really liked it.
When it comes to holidays or summer holidays, Greece is always on the first place on my list. Here I really like the beaches full of clean sand and very blue water. The Mediterranean shows its beauty every summer here in Greece.
Another advantage is the food which is very cheap and very tasty. I much prefer to eat Gyros and drink Rachi.
When we leave the holiday we always do it with a gift and obviously olive oil. Thank you very much and I hope that this year I will get to Greece.
