Most Amazing Hotels in Calete de Fuste
Wow! I would love to go to the Canary Islands. I’ve heard of them before but certainly this resort is awesome! Like any resort, it’s important to know the weather at any given time of the year. It just appears to be SO much to do there. Beautiful place with so many ways to relax and enjoy. And the airports? One thing I enjoy doing is watching planes take off and land at airports. The one thing that concerns me is the cost. But I guess if you want to visit a beautiful place once, it’s worth the cost. Either way, I would do my research here first!
I am glad I could help you. And actually, once you get to the Canaries, the prices are not bad at all. Food is actually really reasonable and kind of on the cheaper end of the scale.
Hi Leahrae,
Once again, I came across your site and am thrilled again. I just love it to travel and get properly wanderlust when I read your blogposts. I have never been to the Canary Islands, but I have to oneday and they would not be so far away from me;) Your post has definitely made me want more, thank you for your review. I’ll be back on your site again, keep up the good work!
Daniel
Thank you so much Daniel! I am glad you enjoyed reading about Calete de Fuste in the Canary Islands. Wonderful place and you would absolutely love it!
The Canary Islands, huh. There are so many places in this world to travel to that you could spend a lifetime trying to get to them all and not even be close!
I have extreme wanderlust and I’m always glad when posts like this open my eyes to yet another spot. This world is so big. We need more hours in the day to explore it!
Yes, Eric the Canaries are a wonderful place to visit. I loved the fact that there is such diversity in terrain and weather. I believe you would love visiting. Thanks for reading!
Phenominal article. Beautiful beaches. It makes me want to book a flight. Except, I’m too poor at the moment. Thanks so much for the ideas and tips. I’ve definitely put it on my destination list. 🙂 When is the busiest time when all the tourists go? I typically try to go to my destinations when it’s not quite so busy so I can enjoy it more.
May thru August is really going to be the best time, given the climate and rainy season. You will never find it that busy here. It is pretty stead year round. Thanks for visiting!
Beautiful beach, I can see myself lying on a deck chair and enjoying the sun and sea. I’ve never been to Fuerteventura. As you said the Canary Islands are for beach-lovers paradise, and I really am a big beach lover. I hope one day I can afford a trip to one of these beautiful beaches and enjoy all that you mentioned in your post.
You would enjoy it here. And it is actually rather inexpensive, minus the airline ticket, which will be the biggest expense. But Fuerteventura, or anywhere in the Canary Islands is wonderful and there beaches are beautiful!
This is amazing! I love that you have included the weather for the year so I can see when the best time to go is. Great restaurant and resort recommendations and suggestions as well! This really makes planning a trip much easier, as you have compiled all the information. Great article and fantastic and very helpful website overall!
Thank you so much Ashleyn! I am glad you enjoyed reading about Calete de Fuste Fuertenventura…wonderful place. Hope you can visit soon!
What an amazing round up. This is really all you need to plan a holiday to Fuerteventura. Those trike tours sound like a lot of fun.
I would love to go on one of those days out on the catamaran too! Thank you for putting all this information together. Really appreciate it.
You are very welcome Linda. The Canary Islands is really an amazing place with so much diversity. It is easy to fly into Fuerteventura, yet visit all the islands. Thanks for visiting Calete de Fuste Fuerteventura!
Oh Leahrae,
You kept making me sigh in this post! The Canary Islands! What an exotic place. Sun, beaches, tranquillity…..and a tax haven to boot! LOL! It’s got everything one could ever want. I can’t wait to have the money that requires me to make use of a tax haven!
I like your system of reviewing restaurants. It’s very handy for people with different budgets.
Well done. It’s a good read,
Phil.
Thank you Phil, glad you enjoyed! It is a wonderful place, that is for sure. Being German, I have relatives there….great excuse to visit them 🙂
This looks like an incredible place to go on a vacation. My wife and I are definitely due for a quick vacation without our two kids!
I like how you listed popular restaurants, it will definitely help make researching easier.
I’m definitely sending her the link to this page, who knows, we just might wind up visiting there one day!
You would absolutely love it Matt. For the small size of the islands (all the Canaries) you can find so much diversity. I know one day I was down sunning on the beach, and the next I was being hauled up to a volcano where it was snowing. Great place and the prices cannot be beat once on the island.
Seeing your site took me back a few years to some good memories. I was on the first charter flight into Fuerteventura in the late 80’s. It had not been very commercialized back then and I had a very enjoyable holiday. I would imagine it is not the same place now that it has become very popular? Loved the long beach on the S.W, of the island. We had miles of sand to ourselves.
Thanks for reading Pete. There are still many places here that you can have all to yourself. But I am sure you are right, not as secluded as it once was. It is very popular for the Germans and you will see a lot of signs in German and businesses owned by Germans.
“opportunity to have a submarine outing”
This sounds really fun. I checked the Oceanarium Explorer link you provided and I can see it is an activity they provide, but their website is in another language (Spanish?) and their translate feature does not work. It looks like it is 15 euro for adults and 8 euro for kids, which would be affordable. Are you aware of how long the outing would be for these types of tourist attractions? Not sure how keen I’d be if I gotta be cooped up in their little yellow submarine for too long.
You can look at the website in English, and here is the link 🙂 The submarine tour is 30 minutes long, but they also have so much more to offer besides just that tour. So, it is not a long tour at all, but definitely worth it ! Thanks for reading!
30 minutes would be fine for me. Long enough to enjoy the underwater view without feeling like I’m on Das Boot. Cheers.
Yes, it is a perfect amount of time 🙂
I have heard of the Canary Islands, but am not sure where it is? I was looking for a new place to vacation besides New Zealand and Thailand where you get to bask under the hot sun. I am glad I found your website! I am hoping I can consider this as part of my holiday plan later this year. Thanks for sharing!
Yes, the Canary Islands is off the west coast of Africa, but is part of Spain. It is indeed a beautiful place. With the trade winds, it does not feel too hot, yet it is beautiful. You would love a vacation here. The beaches are absolutely beautiful!
