Rhodes sounds incredible with its mix of history and beaches. Would you say it’s better to stay near Rhodes Town or Lindos? And are the beaches more sandy or rocky overall?

Rhodes really gives you the best of both worlds, and where you stay depends on the experience you want. Rhodes Town is ideal if you enjoy history, nightlife, and easy access to the medieval Old Town, plus you’ll still find nearby beaches like Elli and Ixia. Lindos, on the other hand, feels more romantic and relaxed, with stunning scenery, the Acropolis views, and beautiful bays like St. Paul’s Bay right nearby. As for the beaches, Rhodes offers a mix of both sandy and pebbled shores, but many of the most popular spots such as Faliraki, Tsambika, and Agathi Beach are sandy with clear, shallow water. This variety makes Rhodes a great choice for families, couples, and travelers who want both culture and beach time in one destination.

I had always loved everything about Greece and its lovely beaches, though I was at Greece two years ago, I was not contented with the little places I was able to visit, the journey can never be complete without Rhodes.
The beaches in the city are so amazing and fascinating, I would definitely be visiting Rhodes on my next trip to Greece.

This seems like an amazing place to experience.  I love the sound of the seclusion at Anthony Quinn Bay and a sunset that I can imagine would be perfect for some impressionable photos.  How far is it to travel there from Tsambika beach?  If a person were to book a vacation there is there time to see the entire island?  I’ve always been intrigued with Greece and had some interest with the pirate history around.  Is there other attractions that are family friendly other than bars and restaurants?

    Thank you

    Joe

Tsambika Beach is on the east side of the island, in the middle of the island.  So really depends on where you stay. You could see the island in a week.  It really depends on what all you want to see.  Really two weeks would be a better amount of time, again just depends on what sites/beaches interest you.  TripAdvisor has a really great list of family friendly options.  I would visit this link and see what might be the best options for your family.  If you need any additional information, please let me know.

This looks absolutely beautiful! I think your recommendation to go in September or October is a great idea, although we will probably have to wait until the kids are a bit older before we, go, because that does not look like a place you want to spend a long weekend at! Just looking at the clear blue water makes me want to spend time there, especially at Tsambika Beach! I cannot wait to show my wife this, I am sure she will be as excited as I am! Thank you for sharing!

I have been looking at potential vacations for the summer and while I have looked at going to the typical places like the US and Spain I never considered Greece.

Looking at the pictures Rhodes looks like the perfect place to visit, the hot weather is ideal and all the beaches look equally beautiful. I can see why it’s busy in the summer so I will have to consider it.

Thanks for sharing this great tourist destination,

    Hi Leahrae,

Rhodes, Greece has always been on my travel bucket list! No wonder, this lovely Island has a lot to offer on all levels and the youtube video you posted says it all.

I prefer going in September when it is less crowded and the hotels are cheaper.

St Pauls sandy beach seems to be quite a relaxing place to go to with family, nothing beats a couple of drinks while the kids are having the time of their life.

Noble and Stegna Kozas seems to be my go-to restaurants for the trip.

Thank you for the lovely Rhodes Greece tourist guide.

I have always wanted to visit Rhodes. I have heard so much about it, and it is just such a beautiful island. I did not know that there was an Anthony Quinn bay, that’s pretty cool. The beaches look like a dream. I can imagine myself there, hiding from the world. It’s a great romantic getaway.

I live in a tourist resort, and the best times to travel here are in the “colder” months. The summers are scorching hot. Hopefully, one day I will make it to Rhodes. I would love to explore the beaches, visit Quinn bay, and I’m intrigued by the Irish bar 🙂

i also wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed your writing style.

Yes Christine,  I know the feeling.  I live on the #1 beach in the US, Clearwater Beach.  And during the holidays, especially spring break, it is crazy here.  Spring break last for three months here as people come from all over.  I would tell anyone, if you want to enjoy, come in the off season months.  Same with Rhodes.  I am not sure if they get the same crowds during spring break, but I know that Rhodes is more enjoyable in the off season when it is not as crowded.

I am a school teacher and I can never visit anything in September and October. Needless to say, I am jealous of those who can, As I am looking at the different beaches, I believe Tsambika Beach looks the most appealing to me. I really enjoy swimming when I go to the beach so that oone looks like an ideal fit for a visit. I travel with my wife and children so that is another reason that beach looks like the best choice for me. Some of the day trips look very appealing as well.
