Perched on a steep hillside above the Rhine River, the medieval fortress overlooks river traffic and vineyard-lined slopes. Located in the UNESCO-listed Upper Middle Rhine Valley, Burg Maus is often paired with nearby Burg Katz, forming the famous “cat and mouse” castles along the gorge.
