Redington Beach Florida Hotels

Redington Beach Florida hotels are located on Florida’s Pinellas County Suncoast, Redington Beach is a great place for that family vacation. Redington Beach is among the several small beach communities that make up the central section of the Suncoast barrier islands. Redington Beach is a charming beach community where people like to stroll along the white sand shoreline, enjoying the scenery of blue and pristine water. In the background are local houses, some rentals, and trees. The waves on this beach are rather calm, especially in the southern part. You will also find a lot of birds flying around the beach. You can visit all of the area St. Petersburg & Clearwater Beaches here.

Redington Beach Weather – When to Visit

The best time to visit Redington Beach is between October and December. During these months, you’ll find low humidity, fewer tourists and many holiday events to experience. However, October and November technically fall within the Atlantic hurricane season, and even though they are not peak hurricane months, you should be aware of the possibility of a storm developing. July, August and September’s frequent rainstorms and January, February and March’s high volume of snowbirds (retirees and part-time residents from the northern U.S.) make summer and winter two seasons to avoid. If viewing wildlife is your main objective, consider visiting in April, May or June when migratory birds, stingrays and sea turtles are commonly spotted. While the area is different every season, Redington Beach benefits from warm weather year-round.

Really like your website. Great content and information. I really enjoy the beach as well as vacations and this site has some fantastic info that gets me excited to take my next trip. It’s great how you even put restaurant info and prices for food on this article about the Redington Beach. Are you from that area? Or have you vacationed there a lot?

I have learned so much about the Gulf Coast of Florida today! Redington Beach looks like a wonderful place to enjoy an ideal beach setting with soft white sand and gorgeous clear blue water. I imagine it gets really hot in the summer, so the tip to visit between October and December when it is less crowded is much appreciated!

Some consider it hot lol, I love it!  It is usually in the upper 80s and lower 90s.  The humidity makes it feel so much warmer.  October is a really great time because the water is still warm, weather is still beautiful and you don’t have the crowds.  Thanks for visiting my Redington Beach Florida Hotels guide.

I have been to Florida multiple times but never to the Redington Beach area. I wish I knew about it when I was planning my trips because the beaches there look absolutely stunning. I could just imagine myself there. As always, you have provided a lot of useful details like restaurants and activities which make it much easier to plan your stay there. The video is a very nice addition too.

This whole Suncoast area is wonderful.  I live in Clearwater, but I always head to Indian Rocks, Madeira, or Redington as they are all less crowded with more of a laid back beach vibe.  You will love it Anna!  Thanks for visiting beach travel destinations.

I was so excited to read about the possibility of seeing sea turtles at Reddington Beach. I was fortunate enough to see one when I was learning to scuba dive in the Phillipines in 2014. The turtle must have been about a metre or more long and even though it seemed completely safe I was a bit nervous to get too close. I really regret not spending longer with the turtle because it really was a once in a lifetime experience.

It really is David.  I live here in Florida and I have yet to take the time to go see them when they are out. I lived in near a turtle reserve for 10 years, and hiked all thru there all the time and only saw one turtle, but it was pretty amazing.

I’d never heard of this place before finding this website, which I came across via an online search
However, it looks beautiful and the sort of place you would want to
visit, especially given that you have broken down everything making
planning so easy!  I loved the restaurants listings with how much they
are and the menu’s. Something to experience for sure.
Certainly looking at the hotel pictures, you are spoiled for sure, so
choosing a hotel will be a tough decision.  I will look at the reviews
for each and then decide. I enjoy reading your Pass A Grille guide. I
have also shared the link with friends of ours who go to Florida a lot.

Well, I must say, every one of these places look absolutely amazing.

I’m a long way over the pond personally, but hopefully some time soon i’ll get over that way and check it out. It’s certainly enough to give you the inspiration to ‘get up and go’. Hopefully travel restrictions and lockdowns will be back to normal soon.

I love visiting your site and finding great beaches, with the charming beach community of Redington Beach another one. You mention fishing at Redington Shores Beach, but does one ned a fishing licence or permit, or can you just fish from the beach?

The dolphin watching tours sound awesome and the Clearwater Dolphin tour is the one that I have selected. Thank you

Yes, anywhere on the shores you will need a fishing license.  Non residents can get one for $15 for one week, or $30 for one year.  Pretty reasonable for sure.  Yes the  dolphin watching tours are wonderful.  I go with a friend to John’s Pass (with a ton of water-side restaurants) and we get a table looking at the water.  The boats, jet skis, and tiki boats leave out of there, so there are a ton of dolphins chasing them.  They love chasing the motors.  Great and free way to see the dolphins 🙂

I was looking at these beautiful beaches and hotels and was wondering how far this is from Orlando Disney Land. I want to take a trip there next year and wouldn’t mind looking around Reddington beach, but not if it is too far to drive.

I wanted to come in July, but now thinking again after reading that there are frequent rainstorms in the area around that time. The only other long holiday I get is in December, so it is either July or December for me. Which do you think is better?

    Reply
    1. Leahrae (Post author)

It is not a far drive at all.  I live in Clearwater and Orlando is about a 2 Hour drive.  So you could stay down on the beaches, and then head to Orlando where you can also fly out of.  Everything is really not too far.  Yes, July sees a lot of rain.  I had a cousin visit for 2 weeks and it rained every single day.  Spring or early summer is better for sure.  Or October thru December.

Thank you so much for your beautiful site. It is full of a lot of important information for beach lovers like my family. My family is planning a trip to Virginia Beach early next month. And probably to Florida in July. I think there’s a lot of other valuable information on your site. My wife and I will take some time to search for better deals from your site when we have a chance. I like that Redington Beach is primarily a waterfront residential community. Residents are used to having tourists. Redington Beach is west of Tampa, Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg. (which makes it convenient for me and my family). I have heard Redington Beach’s town is approximately 1 square mile in size. It’s quite small, in my book.

It is quite small, a lot of the communities are quite small.  But it makes them quaint and laid back with great beaches and wonderful restaurants!
