Naples Weather – When to Visit

The best time to visit Naples is between March and May. Average temperatures are between 70s – 80s, which is ideal weather for going to the beach, shopping outdoors or golfing. On a financial note, if you visit between these months, you’ll dodge the winter price increases. Despite the price spikes, December – February is peak season thanks to high average temperatures when compared to the rest of the United Sates.

Summer, while hotter but cheaper, is still a busy time thanks in part to school being out. But for some the high humidity and temperature can feel uncomfortable. But if its tolerable for your family you will find wide-open beaches and accommodation rates far below the average cost of peak season. September – October features a brief decline in rates and crowds but it can still feel like summer.

Naples is such a beautiful place (from what I’ve seen in posters and movies). I have never had the chance to visit the area and now I am talking about taking our vacation there with my girlfriend.

I just booked a room at GreenLinks Golf Villas at Lely Resort and we are now trying to plan what we are going to be doing each day during our stay there.

Thanks a lot for giving us an insight into what the area has to offer. This was really helpful!

    1. Leahrae (Post author)

You are very welcome 🙂  Sounds like a great trip and the GreenLinks is a great choice, especially if you are a golfer.  If so, I am sure that will take up part of your vacation time for sure.  Thanks for visiting my Naples Travel Guide.

  2. Shashwat .Prakash

That’s a great travel guide. I’m sure you have covered almost all the aspects of it. Naples, I have never been there but my Aunt did. She is an NRI (non-resident Indian). I remember he recalling her experience in Florida, a couple of years back. I loved it. She mentioned the nightlife and the bar over there and said they really light up the place. Well, let’s see when I make that trip, hopefully soon than I imagine. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Leahrae (Post author)

You are very welcome.  Naples is really a great place to vacation to.  I don’t live far from there.  If you love beaches and tiki bars, you will love Naples 🙂

  3. Jair

I have bartender all over the world, only South Beach and Coco Beach in Florida. I have never even been to Naples but after peeking around your site and reading up on a few bars you listed like Vodka Bar & Grill, I am wondering what the nightlife is like in Naples? Mostly tourists, a lot of locals, are they any big seasonal events run out of Naples? I think if this meets my requirements, I found my next last job haha. Great site, very informative.

    1. Leahrae (Post author)

The nightlife is going to be a mix of tourists and locals.  I think you are going to find it to be a little bit of both.  During the summer, of course, you will find a lot of tourists there.  As far as events, you have the Summer Jazz Festival at the end of September, the Naples International Film Festival at the end of October, and the Pro Watercross World Championship in October – November.  There are a lot of other smaller events throughout the year, but these are the big ones.  Thanks for reading!

  4. bloggcomment

What a great review. Thanks for such a deep level of detail. I think you’ve covered literally everything that anyone would want to know. I’ve never been to this part of Florida, but it looks sensational and would love the opportunity to be visit one day. Pictured look great, but sure they don’t do it justice. The sand and water look amazingly clean

    1. Leahrae (Post author)

The pictures do not do it justice.  Naples is a very nice area, and their beaches are wonderful.  You have so much opportunity here to relax, enjoy, let loose….and just have fun.  I am glad you enjoyed reading and learning about Naples.  Thank you for reading my Naples Travel Guide.

  5. Brent

Another great review. I am wondering what was left of Florida after the past few weeks. Busy hurricane season this year, eh? I am going down to FL twice over the next few months(that I know of so far) and hope that it has been cleaned up well for all your post readers to take advantage of the posts you have about the great state of Florida.

    1. Leahrae (Post author)

Yes, it really has been cleaned up well. They seemed to take top priority in cleaning up the beaches. There are still mounds….large mounds of debris in front of most houses, including mine. Anyway, I have been heading to different beaches taking videos, and the beaches still look beautiful, more so maybe with the “grooming” 😀 And yes, it is a great state! Thank you so much for visiting my Naples Travel Guide.

  6. Elbert

What a great post of Naples beach.  This post give me more information especially about the bars and restaurants with the variety of choices that you explain here it helps me to decide which one to go .

Naples is on my list of places to visit, simply because I do love Florida!  I am hoping to plan a trip for next spring.  I will bookmark your site so I can refer back to the wealth of information you have on your site.  Thank you for sharing this 🙂

    1. Leahrae (Post author)

Naples Beach is really a great place to visit.  I live in Florida not too far from Naples, and it is just has a unique vibe to from where I am.  It is a great place, as they have so many choices for restaurants, hotels, and sailing.  If you have never sailed or would like to try it, do this one thing while you are there 🙂  Thanks for visiting my Naples Travel Guide.

  7. Gus

Wow, Naples looks and sounds amazing! I have always wanted to go to Florida but couldn’t figure out what city or town. Naples sounds just amazing, it’s just what I was looking for to experience. The nice view of the city, warm beach water, white sand, nice hot weather and the palm tress are calling my name =)
What’s the best time of the year to visit Naples?

    1. Leahrae (Post author)

You know it really depends on a lot of things.  I live close to Naples, and I can say that the water starts to get cold the middle of October.  I think the end of September to beginning of October is a great time.  First a LOT of families visit Florida during the summer months and it gets very crowded.  Do not go at Spring Break, that is the worst time to go unless you like lots of crowds.  Once school starts, the beaches really clear out and it is so much nicer.  Another good time would be early spring around April or May.  Please let me know if you need any other information.

  8. Orion

    Hi there,
Thanks for the detailed information on Naples beaches, you gave such a great description about the area, it really makes me feel like popping over right now!
You gave a lot of useful information that locates all the facilities which is great! Can’t get lost…that’s for sure!
The picture you chose is beautiful!

    1. Leahrae (Post author)

Thank you so much!  I am glad you enjoyed reading the Naples Travel Guide.  Hopefully it will prompt you to take a wonderful beach vacation to Naples!  Thanks for visiting Beach Travel!

  9. MIck

I enjoyed reading your web page a lot. Just so happens I’m in the market for a good vacation right now. Naples, Fla. looks like a great place to visit. You provide a lot of useful information on places/beaches for travelers to visit. Good content and visuals. Can you recommend a good hotel on the beach there? In the past, I haven’t found many good airfare deals to Naples vs. Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. Do you know what airline has the best offers? I liked your visuals, they make the reader want to travel there. I hope you have a lot of success with your site.

    1. Leahrae (Post author)

Thank you so much Mick.  Boy, as far as airlines go, it really depends on where you are flying from.  For instance, from Texas you can fly into Florida super cheap.  As low as $57 round trip on Spirit Airlines.  It really depends on where you are flying out of.  You can check flight prices on the various flight search sites and see which is the most economical.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

  10. Wendi

My husband and I live in Florida, and we’ve made it into a bit of a hobby to try a different beach every time we’re up for a beach trip. You really can’t go wrong with Florida beaches, but this review of Naples’s beaches is VERY tempting and I am now considering that we head down south for our next trip.

    1. Leahrae (Post author)

I live in Florida too and am always trying different beaches.  From one Floridian to another, you have to try Naples and it is not too long of a drive.  Well I am at Clearwater Beach 🙂  Thank you for reading!

  11. denney.

  12. Brendan

This is one of the most informative articles that I have read regarding travel. My family is actually trying to find a place to vacation for next summer and Naples seems pretty cool. The restaurant and night life pricing parts were very helpful as well.

By chance, have you heard anything about which restaurant and night club are the best to visit?

    1. Leahrae (Post author)

The ones I listed ARE the best 🙂  I am glad I covered everything for you.  Naples is a wonderful area, and the beaches…. totally awesome.  You can pretty much visit any time of year and have decent weather.  Even when there are storms, it clears out pretty quick.  Let me know if you have any other questions.

  13. Alona

Wow! I love beaches! Our place has beautiful beaches too but I still don’t get tired of beaches. There is just something so relaxing about beaches. This place seems lovely and lively with all the attractions. But the mention of manatees just made me excited. I would love to come here and see the manatees! 😀

    1. Leahrae (Post author)

I live in Florida, and I see manatees all the time.  They are like gentle giants and to see them while at the beach just relaxing, totally awesome.  I hope you can make our direction one day.  I guess I might be kind of biased, but we have great beaches, great food, and great fun!
