Wow, awesome article on Mykonos, Greece. Knowing the right location for your next vacation especially when you don’t have a firsthand experience of where you’re planning your tourism could be very hard. But here, your website is here to solve this I must say.

Mykonos is a nice and beautiful place to visit. I’ve been there on a vacation to this part of Greece when I was a kid with my family. The images of Mykonos are still in my head. They have many awesome restaurants and beaches, and amazing places to visit. This is just great for anyone thinking on their travel to Mykonos, Greece.

This is my first time to know Mykonos and I am very much amazed how popular and crowded it is. It must be a fun and exciting place one should get an experience of. However, due to the high demand, price tags are inflated so it is better to go with your advice by visiting around September and November to get lower prices. There is so much to explore and enjoy…

It is as you say! It is a beautiful place…
We went with my Girlfriend and I remember very much that at dusk we went to see the sunset in the town of Mykonos. Another unmissable place is its famous Windmills, which date back to the 16th century when wheat and bread were produced on the island.

From there there is an excellent view of the sector called Little Venice, a waterfront full of restaurants and white houses of 2 and 3 floors that resemble those of Venice and represent the typical landscape of Mykonos. It is the ideal place to watch the sunset, people congregate there to chat, have a few beers, a good wine or just watch the sun melt in the waters of the Aegean. It is quite beautiful.

At night, the best plan is to walk the streets of white houses lit and crowded with people. The nightlife in Mykonos is an experience to live, for some time I felt in the Milan fashion week or in a haute couture fashion show in Paris. The amount of elegant people, more women than men, the waste of money and the cameras that capture the new trends of European summer fashion make the whole environment transport you to the depths of waste and human superficiality.

It is not the environment that I like most in life, however, you have to see it to believe it!

Thank you for this excellent review, the truth is that I have many things left to do! 🙂

    regards
    Pablo

Mykonos definitely has fun and adventure written all over it. My friends and I are planning a get-together and this feels like the ideal destination but it seems we’ll have to find a way to make it happen in the summer for the reason that it is supposed to be a fun and unforgettable experience. We also have every intention of meeting new people and making friends in the process. I’ll have to put the Psarou beach at the top of our visit list. Thanks for sharing

    Hi Leahrae,

I’m planning a stag do for August this year & just trying to decide location, Mykonos sounds like it may be ideal and specifically Paradise Beach.

It sounds ideal in terms of restaurants, bars and nightlife. The only other thing we’re ideally looking for is beach and water sports to do during the day.

In your experience is Mykonos good for that as well?

    Reply
    1. Leahrae (Post author)

Of course Nate, there is plenty of water sports to keep you all entertained for the duration of your vacation.  You’ll find everything you need in Mykonos.  You’ll want to go to Kalafatis beach where you will find a variety of water sports can be found here, such as jet ski, water ski, scuba diving, windsurfing, and wake boarding.  At Platis Giolos Beach there is also a big range of water sports and water games are available, including jet ski, water ski, wake boarding, wake skating, wake surfing, snorkeling, canoes, tube and banana rides.  These two beaches have everything you need 🙂

Hi, I never been to Greece before but I imagine that it is wonderful place to visit. I’ve never been to Europe actually. I really enjoyed the video, of the Drone footage I was really impressed to see if there’s buildings like that so close to the water. My first thought was that it would be the time to go right now. Which is almost February. However, like you said there are less people oh, and the water is warmer, in September and October.

This travel guide about Mykonos is fantastic.
In my opinion, as a European, the most beautiful summer vacation destinations are those in Greece. Last year I was in Thasos and Crete and I want to say it was amazing. This year I would like to get in Mykonos. The water here is so blue and warm that I would sit at the beach all day. I look at Elia Beach and I can say that it is the perfect destination for swimming. I have heard that the restaurants here are full of Greek delicatessens and the biggest advantage is that the prices are not very high. Thank for this guide.
