The warm season lasts from May 28 to September 29 with an average daily high temperature above 87°F. The hottest day of the year is August 3, with an average high of 91°F and low of 81°F. The cold season lasts from December 8 to February 25 with an average daily high temperature below 77°F. The coldest day of the year is January 13, with an average low of 64°F and high of 74°F.
There are two airports near Islamorada, Miami International Airport which is about 79 miles from Key Largo, and the Florida Keys Marathon Airport at about 31 miles from Key Largo.
