Corpus Christi Weather (Best Time to Go)

The best time to visit Corpus Christi is from September to February.  Corpus Christi weather is mainly subtropical in summer, with average temperatures of 90ºF, making it the most popular season. But do expect many windy days as Corpus Christi rivals Chicago or Dodge city as the windiest city in the States.  Winter temperatures may drop to the 40ºF-50ºF, but the average temperature is significantly higher. This region is a well-known “snow bird” refuge, involving hundreds of thousands of residents of northern U.S. states and Canada.  Spring and the Summer weather and temperatures are typically agreeable, but spring sea-water temperatures may not be inviting for swimming.  Autumn months are an excellent period for those who want to fish and low hotel rates. Autumn’s first weeks can be great for beach goers and for more inexpensive accommodations.  Summer and Spring Break aren’t a good option for anyone who wants low hotel prices and low-crowded places.  In the winter months, many people from the Northern States migrate to Corpus Christi region to avoid the cold weather northern states (golf, surf, bird watching and fishing are popular winter activities) but if you want to fully enjoy the Texan sea and beach life, avoid winter (air and water temperatures will be too low).

I never thought that Texas has a wonderful tourist attractions and destinations that we can enjoy and have relaxation. This place is awesome! I love beaches but I am not a beach person because I don’t know how to swim. I go to beach to enjoy the sunset, walking along the sea shore and enjoy the beauty of the views. It is a great thing to know though that you have tackled in your article the list of things to do in Corpus Christi. Horses on the beach, the resort, restaurants and especially the bars and night life makes me more interesting to visit Corpus Christi. It is a 5-star rating for me. And the fact that I have never been to Texas and this will definitely included on my bucket list. Thanks a lot for writing this reviews about Corpus Christi.
    All the best!

I remember visiting Corpus Christi & found it fascinating. I’m familiar with the area & plan to visit again.

Seeing the USS Lexington parked on the Gulf Shore is truly amazing & a real piece of history. The other thing I remember seeing was the blanket of white jelly fish floating along the shore. There were so many I was amazed. Is this jelly fish get together a normal yearly reunion in the area?

Certainly enjoyed visiting Corpus Christi & plan to visit again within the near future. Thank you for sharing your informative article.

Yes, the jelly fish are common here. But, most just sting and that is it. The jellyfish you will find here are cabbagehead, moon jellyfish and stinging nettles. Moon jellyfish and stinging nettles can be found from late spring to mid-summer. You will see lots of cabbagehead jellyfish around late summer to early fall. I love Corpus Christi, and I could easily live there, but I am in Florida so I cannot complain 🙂 Thanks for visiting my Corpus Christi travel guide.

Out of all the Texas beaches, I would have to say that Corpus Christi is my favorite. Galveston is probably second. Both of them are worth a visit for sure. Thank you for visiting!

This was very helpful! I have never been to Corpus Christi, but I am pretty familiar with some of the mainstays from friends mentioning them. However, I was not aware of all the other things to do, which makes this trip sound really appealing to me, especially the primitive camp spots at Mustang State Park. Also, having the pricing guide is incredibly helpful, so I really appreciate you taking the time to add that. I look forward to other destination spots you review!

I would very much like to visit Corpus Christi, Texas. It seems to me like a very warm and nice place.I am from Croatian, we have a quite similar climate, warm period from May -September and winter days from December till February It would be very nice to visit this great beach, especially on horseback. Nice to know that there is an airport, and all you can visit that the staying in Corpus Christi is fulfilled. What about the safety of tourists, is there a lot of crime and what should tourists pay particular attention on?
    Thanks

First thing I noticed about this article was those temperatures. I come from England and our summers are the same as Corpus Christi winters!

I visited the USA earlier in the year, but I was in Virginia. I love the states and I am always looking for different places to visit next time I go.

There certainly looks like there is lots to do, and more important eat, in Corpus Christi. I might have to pay a visit next as I have always wanted to go to Texas!

I wonder what the main pictured beach is showing location wise. Nicely and neatly organized site for the viewing pleasure.

i found Corpus Christi an amazing place based on your travel guide! There are a lot of things to do for every budget as i understand! You can spare your time by visiting historical monuments or relaxing in one of its restaurant! What about the prices the restaurants? Based on your review they offer good food so, may i expect they are high priced?

I don’t think they are high priced at all. Texas, overall is a very reasonable vacation destination. The USS Lexington is worth a visit to do the tour. Very interesting…and I thought it would be boring…but it was great! Corpus Christi beaches and the area is a great vacation for sure.
