For me what I like most on my vacations is the variety of activities that are available. And from your review, Fuengirola provides this and much much more. From being able to relax on beaches like Las Gaviotas for my wife who likes to lie in the sun for hours (so not me) to being able to walk the promenade and see all the activity at Boliches (more my vibe). What is also nice about this Spain destination when I looked it up further were the tours. I am sure I would be headed to the Biopark and the Jeep Safari at Marbella. Certainly a destination worth checking out for my Europe bucket list trip.
It definitely is worth checking out! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave me comments.
This is really a great article you got here, first of all, I love Spain and here you got some of the best information about the places, now I know when to visit Spain, where to find the best restaurant moreover a well-rated hotel, I just love how you put all the pieces together, great work and thanks for sharing.
Thank you Ricky and I am glad you enjoyed your visit to my Best Fuengirola Spain hotels.
Wow! It’s amazing! I love Spain and I always have dreamt to go on vacation there and see all these beautiful paces, but this pandemic has blocked us and I hope this will end soon an finally I can go there. Your article made me to dream more about Spain and Fuengirola seems wonderful. The prices are super affordable.
Maybe I will have the most beautiful vacations there. Thank you.
It is affordable! Probably the most is going to be the plane ticket depending on where you are flying from. Thanks for your visit Ledi.
Thanks for sharing the ariel views – stunning! Look at that gorgeous crystal-clear azure water. The fact that Fuengirola is hot and dry is a good deal for me – much more preferable than humid summer climate.
I’m not particularly fond of beach shorelines situated right next to urban areas, but this destination (particularly Santa Amalia Beach and Playa del Castillo) just looks too lovely, even without considering the amenities you noted.
Fuengirola is a gem and yes, I agree. Hot and dry always has me. I live in a very humid climate, but really prefer dry and hot. You can definitely find hotels on the water that are not surrounded by urban areas.
Now if I’m looking to be in the center of action and still be able to sit on the beach all day this sounds like the place to be. I’ve only seen static pictures of Fuengirola and enjoyed watching your eye in the ski, I actually felt like I was there (well almost. lol) Warm Mediterranian waters always call to me no matter when I live, so I will be heading to this beach soon.
I’m a social person and love meeting all the people who love the sun as I do. The day trips look like not to be missed adventures. Thanks for this in-depth post.
You are very welcome Lily. I’m glad you enjoyed my Best Fuengirola Spain Hotels guide. Sounds like you are ready to go!
Looking at the map, it looks like the closest major city to fly to is Malaga. I’ve been planning a tour around Europe, which includes Spain, France, and Italy. From my research, I’ve found the Spanish beaches to be the most affordable and the ones with excellent weather. No wonder lots of Brits visit them on holidays.
I’ll add this to my bucketlist. I hope to visit someday. Thanks for sharing.
Great Enrique. Yes, they are very affordable compared to other European coastal destinations. I am glad you enjoyed!
I appreciate this hotel guide for Spain as for someone like me who is completely new to the destinations and more importantly the value of hotels. I feel like you have made me more comfortable with the idea of travelling to Spain and picking the right Hotel to stay in! Thank you for this article 🙂
You are very welcome Page. So glad you enjoyed and I could help with your vacation planning!
What a great vacation destination. It looks beautiful and reasonably affordable. Do you have any idea how much it is to rent a sunbed on the beach for the day? That sounds like so much fun! Also, is there jetski rentals available nearby?
Living in AZ, it is constantly over 110 degrees here in the summertime. So, 84 degree average summer temperatures basically sounds like heaven.
Thanks for all the great info.
The prices for sunbed are continually changing, but I have heard they have gotten high. What a high price is I am not sure LOL You will be able to find Jet Ski rentals. Yes, I used to live in St. George Utah. Always triple digits in the summer. Makes 80s seem perfect really! thanks for visiting and taking the time to leave me comments.
I have always wanted to visit Spain, mainly for the culture and to see some good Spanish Dancing. I haven’t seen or heard of this part of Spain before, and it certainly looks like an attractive holiday destination.
Do the locals speak any English, or is it a good idea to learn a few select words before visiting the country?
I love the culture there, one of the reasons I like Spain besides the gorgeous beaches. I found that many people do speak English. It is certainly good to know some select words as you say 🙂
Wow! I’m so amazed by the mountain activities in Spain! Is that a hanging bridge? In Caminito del Rey. This is a good site for adventure! I’m not just a beach person, I also like going to mountains. And I really am amazed by this. Great article. I have never learned this before. Thanks to you, I have discovered it. Keep up the work!
I am so glad you learned about Fuengirola Spain, great place for the beach and with so much more to offer to keep you busy. Thanks for taking time the time to stop by and leave me comments.
Hey, you truly have thought about everything here, I like what you’ve done with the place! Am not a beach person but the way you’ve submitted your information gets me interested in knowing more and most probably plan one as soon as am ready.
I am wondering, do you also do trips to Africa? I haven’t seen some on your site. Maybe it was just something I missed, but if not, you might find it interesting to find some amazing beaches on this side of the continent!
cheers
I do plan to do Africa! I know my dad has been there and raved about it. He fell in love, and they do have great beaches. I will get to it 🙂
HI and thanks for sharing this excellent and informative article. We are planning a trip to Seville in early Spring next year and we were thinking of spending three or four nights at the coast. The Fuengirola area looks like a very attractive option. We will be studying this information very carefully. Best regards, Andy
Glad you enjoyed Andy. Please let me know how your vacation goes!
Hi, what a lovely article and what a great suggestion for a family vacation. I love Spain, and I like to plan a vacation in the coming spring or summer there with my family. Fuengirola city is a beautiful destination to visit. Santa Amalia Beach seems to be a safe place for my daughter.
Thank you for sharing this. With your recommendation about beaches and restaurants in Fuengirola, I’m sure that everyone will have a beautiful time with family or friends.

Alketa
I love Spain as well. I spend 3 weeks here. Wonderful place with wonderful people. You will enjoy!
Wow, the photo of the moon hanging over the beautiful beach and nearby mountains is just stunning! I haven’t previously heard of Fuengirola, so I appreciate that you’ve shared this pretty gem in Southern Spain. I’m surprised at how affordable the hotel rooms are. Do you think that may be due to slower demand during the pandemic, or are the prices always so good?
The prices are great. Actually during COVID, hotel rates have risen. So you will generally see the prices decline when ever the heck we get rid of COVID.
