    Hi Leahrae,

I’m really glad I came across your site. You’ve put together some fantastic places to visit. I didn’t know you could do dolphin watching tours in Florida and especially like all the beach options.  Both my wife and I love to travel and visit new places and the options you suggest all look fantastic.

    Thank you for sharing!

So it is an interesting coincidence that I came across this post because I’ve had thoughts about moving to florida after college. I loved reading about the different types of beaches throughout florida like Sand Key Park and Madeira Beach. As someone who loves the tropics and anything involving water, I absolutely loved reading this article! I definitely could see myself going on a speed boat and spotting dolphins so thanks for the recommendation. And would you tell me what exactly cuban sandwiches are? It’s the first time I’ve heard of it but cuban sandwiches sounds delicious.Thank you so much for this awesome article. Makes me want to pack up my bags and move to florida. 🙂

Oh boy, Cuban sandwiches are to die for!  The are on a Cuban roll with mustard, mayo, ham, dill pickles, Swiss cheese and pork.  Some places use salami instead of the pork.  Then they are grilled like a panini.  I had never had one until I moved to Florida.  Now I have them all the time.  You would love living here.  I love the water, and the beach….so I’m in heaven!

I just watched your video and it’s so inviting. The white sand is beautiful. The place looks clean and safe. Because of this article my list is growing bigger now. I definitely need to visit these places with my family and enjoy the view.

And I see there is enough activities to keep me busy all the time. Thank you for showing me nice places.

Love your site! Why do I always have the theme of Miami Vice running through my head when I look at pictures of Florida? You mention a boat ride where you can go dolphin watching. Is there an opportunity to go snorkelling around them? I’ve always really wanted to do that.

Yes, you can go snorkeling.  There are several companies that offer snorkel trips.  I agree, the Miami vice does come to mind when you think of Florida.

I am planning to visit my friend in St. Petersburg and a visit to Indian Shores may just be the trip we need as a family. During the COVID crisis, I think we have seen too much of each other as a family, and now need some getting away. being locked up in our homes has not been a great experience… life’s just passing us by.

Thank u for your lovely reviews. You are better than “Lonely Planet”. There’s so much of real-person information in here, always. That’s the stuff we really need to plan a vacay.

    Regards,

I am so glad you enjoyed.  And I agree with the getting away alone time.  It is beautiful here and St Pete is such a fun place to visit and live 😀  Thanks for your compliments and for taking the time to leave me comments.

Wow, I didn’t expect to find another great destination in the Tampa / St Pete area, but this beach area looks stunning! I definitely want to take a dolphin-watching tour. Then again, I’ll find any excuse to get on a boat for a nice day on the water. We have a tiki cruise option in my area, but it’s on a lake and a really small boat (<10 people allowed). The Tiki Boat Cruise – Clearwater Beach sounds like the real deal though.

Thanks for the great vacay options – I’m definitely looking forward to my next trip!

Wow, I never realised there were so many beautiful beaches in Florida. Indian Shores looks like another beach to add to my bucket list. I would love to see the nesting sea turtles, so Indian Shores beach will be a definite place to visit.

I love sandy beaches and with summer approaching, I do hope we will soon be able to travel more freely to visit these lovely beaches.

I live here and there are no restrictions, sometimes I think there should have some in place.  But most Floridians are vaccinated, so that is a plus.  All these beaches here along the suncoast are wonderful.  Clearwater is probably the busiest, but they are all within reach no matter where you stay 🙂  Glad you enjoyed your visit!

Indian Shores seems to be a welcoming place for  families. There indeed are several fun things that can be enjoyed by all the family. Among them, there’s beach access parking for the Gulf’s gorgeous white-sand beaches. And I have found the locally owned eateries and shops pretty good. And ther is this warm sense of community among the residents.

Agreed,  there is definitely a warm sense of community.  And you will see them quite frequently out on the beaches removing the trash, especially the plastic.  You will find plenty of things to do in the area and all the beaches are super accessible.  Parking in Clearwater and at St Pete Beach can be a little hectic.    Thanks for your visit Abel.

I’d never heard of this place before finding this website, which I came across via an online search.

However, it looks beautiful and the sort of place you would want to visit, especially given that you have broken down everything making planning so easy!  I loved the restaurants listings with how much they are and the menu’s. Something to experience for sure.

Certainly looking at the hotel pictures, you are spoiled for sure, so choosing a hotel will be a tough decision.  I will look at the reviews for each and then decide. I enjoy reading your Pass A Grille guide. I have also shared the link with friends of ours who go to Florida a lot.
