Skiathos weather has long, hot summers and milder winters. The best time to visit is during summer, between April and October.Summers last from April to October. Average temperatures are 86°F during the day with highs of 84°F in the peak of the afternoon. At night, it cools down with temperatures around 64°F in July and August. Best Skiathos Beaches
This is the most famous beach in Skiathos and the most crowded. It is known for its extremely fine white sand and its fragrant pine trees. It is considered as one of the best beaches of Greece but was also voted the most unspoiled natural beach of the Mediterranean. The beautiful crystal-clear deep blue waters are a real pleasure. Lalaria Beach is only reachable by boat and is situated on the north-eastern tip of the island. It’s a dream-like place of an incredible beauty with huge white cliffs rising out of the clear deep blue sea. To the left of the white sandy beach is a natural bridge with a hole in the middle composing a sort of submarine passage. The magnificent Blue and Dark caves are worth visiting by boat.
Banana Beach has fine sand and crystal-clear waters, offering a wide range of water sports. The other end of the dirt road continues up to the little bay called Little Banana, a nudist beach separated from the banana beach with a huge rock. It is quieter with fine sand and crystalline waters.
Agia Paraskevi Beach
A good mix of beach hotels and little island tavernas meet where the sleepy village of Agia Paraskevi joins the sea. Families get clean swimming waters and sunbeds, and there’s even a watersports outfitter with pedal boats and jet skis.
