West Palm Beach Weather – When to Visit

To avoid the hottest temperatures and biggest crowds, the best times to visit West Palm Beach are at the end of spring (April to May) and the beginning of fall (September to October).  The temperatures will fluctuate between the mid-60s and high 80s and you’ll avoid peak airfare and hotel rates. Families will flood the area when school is out during the summer, and in winter, older part-time residents (or “snowbirds”) will resettle in the area to escape the North’s cooler temperatures. Remember that Florida’s hurricane season comes in the fall, so weather could be an issue at this time.

Hi, love this review, loads of good info! It seems like an ideal destination for a large family where some prefer beach, few are adrenalin junkies loving adventures and others to explore nearby sights and culture only spending few hours soaking up the rays. We all love tasting new foods though, seems plenty around. I was wondering if you know the likelyhood of any veggie friendly restaurants, since part of my family eats no meat or seafood!

There are several vegan restaurants. The best would be Queen of Sheeba, Darbster, and The Chickpea. All wonderful choices. Thanks for reading about West Palm Beach, Florida!

I’ve got friends down in Florida who keep asking us to visit. I wonder if even they know about all of these great places you have listed. Nice!

A daily average of 86 degrees! That is torture when right now outside my house it is below zero!

I do a lot of traveling with my work and last year I must have been down to Florida 10-15 times!! But never to Palm Beach. Boca Raton, Miami, OrlandoX4 but I always just drove by your fine city!!

My life is always a vacation so I never have to take one, but I would love to stay around and visit Palm Beach this year(I am sure I will at some point) to see all the wonderful things you mentioned in this article.

I must say that you certainly have covered all the bases, so to speak, about Palm Beach. Its almost like you work for the Visitors Bureau or something!! Great post!!

That is wonderful article. It definitely would help people a lot in finding a nice beach resort for vacation. You even made it easier for everybody to find a comfortable package deal for a cheaper price. In addition to it there are some extra tip that can help people to enjoy more of their vacation such as be flexible on schedule and plan it in advance. I have noticed that most of your article are about beaches around the USA, how about somewhere around Asia? I came from the east side that is how I know that there are also nice resort there to explore and maybe you might want also to include in your website. Anyway, Thank you , especially for those help tips.

    Hi Leahrae.

Thank you for a very informative article. It looks like you’ve pretty much covered everything – beaches, hotels, food/beverages, and places of interest.

Have you ever taken an air boat ride? I’d be interested in seeing the alligators but not up close and personal. I’d be worried about falling off. Do they have seat belts or something similar?

    1. Leahrae (Post author)

The airboat operators take safety seriously. There are not seat belts but there is protection all around the boat. You will not fall off unless you were to climb over the railing. I think you would really enjoy this! It is safe, and pretty cool too! West Palm Beach has lots of great things to see and do if you are not feeling the airboat is the way to go 😀 Thank you Wendy for reading West Palm Beach Vacations.

Wow! I always wanted to visit Florida. I knew it was warm there, but I didn’t know that it didn’t get cold in the winter! The average in January is more than 57 degrees, that’s really great! And thank you for telling me about Airfare Watchdog, I must use it from now on!

    Reply
    1. Leahrae (Post author)

Yes, Airfare Watchdog is really a great tool. I use it year round to keep me updated on a few locations. Then I know when to go. I can spend the entire day at the beach even in the winter. As you are right, it never really gets cold. The water on the East coast, as opposed to say St. Pete or Clearwater is going to be a bit chillier in the winter though.
