Visit Siquijor and Travel to the Island of Fire

If you are planning a vacation to the Philippines, then you must visit Siquijor and Travel to the Island of Fire! The Spaniards named this paradise “Isla del Fuego,” or, “Island of Fire.” The named it this because of the mysterious glow that came at dusk on the island – from the swarms of fireflies that flitted around the lush vegetation.

Siquijor is has become a tourist hot spot in Central Visayas because of its natural beauty and distinct charm. Its white sand beaches, century old churches, amazing dive sites, beautiful waterfalls and other natural wonders attract people here to uncover the island’s mystique. Siquijor is a good option if you’re looking for somewhere to relax and unwind.

WOW Siquijor looks like such a beautiful place to kick back and relax. The various beaches appear to be so pristine as well. Is it because the rain that the waterfall looks best during the wet season? Although I have never been to the Philippines, I would love an opportunity to visit such a plush destination for an extended vacation.

Wow, Siquijor seems like a beautiful place to visit. I’m glad you explained that it got its nickname from the light casting over it during sunset because I would totally be looking for a volcano! What is the weather like there? When is the best time to visit Siquijor? I’m liking the inexpensive hotel prices too. Putting this on my places to visit list right now!

It is so amazing how you travel around the Philippines and find these beautiful secluded beaches! We just took my wife’s family to one off of twin lakes. One rock at Siquijor has a waterslide going into an ocean, which will be perfect for our niece/nephews next visit here 🙂

Apart from the Philippines being a cool $2500 for me to get to I cannot deny the tranquil attraction Siquijor offers. The YouTube video paints such an idyllic chill time at beaches like Tubod that I feel almost transported there. And if I want to up my thrill game I would certainly dare to go up to the 35-foot perch at Salagdoong. And I am sure my wife would be quite interested in checking out the traditional mystic healers at Siquijor Island. So I am hoping that with the relaxing of Covid requirements a trip like this could be much more attainable.

Thoroughly enjoyed the video of this gorgeous island of fire. It looks so tranquil and I appreciate that it isn’t touristy and spoilt. Siquiljor seems to have it all, pristine beaches and the accommodation looks lovely. My favorite pick would be the Mandala Tribe Treehouses, I love island-style bungalows with outside showers.

I would enjoy a coastal tour and just laying on the beach and swimming.

    Thank you for the news

Yes, you do need a visa to visit the Philippines from most countries.  It really depends on the country, for the difficulty getting one.  If you are using it for a vacation, and you have no issues with your background, then that makes it simpler.
