The Best Maragogi Brazil Resorts

Looking for the best Maragogi Brazil resorts? Maragogi, with its mangroves and sandy beaches, is a growing town where locals and visitors both head to the beach for sunset drinks and socializing. The most sought-after treasures are off the coast, at the Gales de Maragogi marine reserve with crystal-clear ponds, coral reefs, and colorful fish.

The most famous attraction in Maragogi is the amazing natural pools. Even if there were no other reasons to get to know Maragogi, that alone would be worth the trip. You can reach the natural pools by boat. The most famous one is Galés but there two others that have only been opened to the public recently and therefore are more preserved, Taocas and Barra Grande.

Maragogi is not limited only to its beautiful beaches! The Visgueiro Trekking, Mirante belvedere and São Bento Monastery are three inland attractions of the city that are also worth visiting, so be sure to fit them between one beach and another. Maragogi has a great variety of bars, restaurants and nightlife. Visit the most amazing beaches in Brazil here, or on Pinterest.

Maragogi Weather – When to Visit

Maragogi has a tropical climate with warm and humid weather all throughout the year. During summer (October thru May, the weather can get hot (upper 80s to lower 90s), but there is very little rainfall during this time. Winter (June thru September) sees milder temperatures (upper 70s), but this is when you will see all the rainfall. The best time to visit Maragogi is during the months of November thru February when the rains won’t spoil your days at the beach.

Man, this is my idea of Heaven.  Your pictures and video have me drooling since the weather here is currently hovering near freezing.  I’ve never been out of the US but I’ve always wanted to travel.  Do you think 70 is too old to travel? My husband doesn’t want to travel so if I went, I would have to find a tour group to go with.

I had a friend in college from Brazil but we lost touch.  I haven’t learned Portuguese, but I bet I could learn enough to get by if I’m fortunate enough to visit that Paradise on earth.  Are there accommodations for the mobility challenged?

There are so many gorgeous beaches pictured on your site, that I’m going to be pouring over them for days, or weeks.  Anytime I get too sick of the cold, I can pull up your website and dream of a Brazilian vacation.

Thank you so much for giving me this glimpse of such a beautiful location. Do you think the people who live there all the time take it for granted?

I am sure that people who live there do take it for granted.  I know I live on a beautiful beach, and I did not visit one time this summer.  Granted, we did have red tide for a considerable amount of the summer.

These places look great. I am not one for sitting for long hours on beaches so I would definitely take part in the tours as they are more interesting. Do you do the Carneiros tour on foot or in a bus?

Sao Miguel also looks great and that ought to be interesting as I see it is a whole day. There must be a lot to see in that area.

Do you know if these tours cater for people in wheel chairs?

On the tour you will be riding in an air conditioned vehicle.  I do not know about wheel chair access.  You would have to check with the tour company I believe to find out.  I am sure they would though.

This was a very informative article to read. I’d never heard of this area in Brazil before, nor did I know that there were coral reefs with amazing beaches. It looks like a really unique spot to visit. Would you recommend this area for a family vacation? I definitely will have to put this on my list of places to someday visit. Thanks for sharing all your insights!

I have a few friends that have spent time in Brazil, and two of them both mentioned this area.  I have had in my mind that I should take a trip that way, but your article has moved it firmly into the bucket list column.  I’m especially interested in visiting Taocas and Barra Grande.  When our family visited Cancun the Senotes were at the top of the highlights and I’m sure these would top the list of this trip.

More ideas for the summer and a nice relaxation for a vacation! I really see a interest in Barra Grande Beach. The palm trees along the coast make it look so much beautiful and down with nature as well. It makes the beach and scenery way better than having little to know nature surroundings. It’s a place for me since I don’t like being in crowded places as it is a lot of noise and how can people even enjoy a vacation if it’s very noisy. Thank you for the best suggestions for the beaches in Brazil as I have already found the one beach for me.

This really a one stop holiday/trip planning site. Super convenient as all of the information is on hand with tips to ensure you secure the best location & price. There are so many aspects to take in consideration when planning a holiday, without the proper information it can end in disaster, this site takes a chunk of that hassle away. I would feel confident in booking a trip to a brand new location based on the advice supplied within your articles, safe in the knowledge that I would have various recommended places to check out.

Great site, superb layout and a no hassle customer experience.

Wow! All those beaches look like a dream come true! I love swimming in the coral reefs and just relaxing on the beach. There are so many of them in Brazil that it’s hard to pick just one or two.

I’d like to hit Barra Grande Beach sometime as I prefer isolated places.

By the way, how much time do you recommend for visiting all those beaches? One week? Two weeks?

    Thanks for sharing.

I would definitely take two weeks.  Then you are not rushed and you can simple enjoy!

These beaches look Heavenly! The thought of sunset drinks and socializing gives me a feeling of calm and contentment that makes me want to go there.

The prices of everything are so affordable. I am not familiar with Brazilian cuisine. Is it similar to Portuguese cuisine? I’d love to dine lazily at a restaurant by one of those beaches.

Are natural pools caused by the ocean carving through the sandy beaches and creating pools inland?

I truly dream of these types of resorts, beach, sun, and beautiful hotel rooms. There is something delicious about getting away and exploring new shores and activities. I would love to stay in Pousada do Alto, I love those drapes and hammocks on the balcony. Deck chairs by the ocean scene. Meraki Beach cafe sounds glorious for reasonable meals and after a full day tour to take in all the natural sites we will be ready to veg out in the tropical waters.

Looks and sounds wonderful. Can’t wait to board a plane!

I want to go to the beach of the Gran Oca Resort. They told me that it is one of the best spots to walk to the reefs at low tide. You can go to the pools also. I have had a bad experience walking to reefs so I will protect my feet with beach shoes. I enjoy snorkeling. That’s why I am excited about going. A friend told me there has been a lot of erosion in front of the hotel. But thanks to that, it is easier to walk to the reef.
