The Best Eleuthera Hotels and Resorts

Discover The Best Eleuthera Hotels and Resorts – From the pink sand beaches of North Eleuthera to the renaissance of the Cape in South Eleuthera, and points between, you could spend weeks on this slinky island and still not see all of the natural beauty there is to explore.

Eleuthera is only two miles wide and has miles of pink and white sand beaches with turquoise crystal-clear water. This island is not all sand and water. Eleuthera is known for the high cliffs that fringe the eastern side of the island, where the Atlantic Ocean crashes onto the rock. Of course, this is as much noise as you’ll hear on this quiet, friendly island of Eleuthera, where fishing, diving, snorkeling and taking it easy are the favorite pastimes of locals and visitors.

It’s the resorts, though that give Eleuthera its reputation for being among the friendliest places in the world. The secluded villas, upscale resorts, and quaint inns keep visitors coming back year after year, including members of the British royal family. Eleuthera Weather – When to Visit Eleuthera

High season in Eleuthera runs December through April, when residents of cold-weather climates head to the Bahamas to defrost and soak up some rays. Low temperatures might dip into the 60s, and the water can be chilly. Bring a sweater and a jacket, especially if you are boating. Expect to pay higher rates for rooms, boat rentals, and airfare during this time. For the cheapest hotel rates and some of the best deals on water-sports packages, visit in summer or fall, when the ocean is generally calm and warm. But beware, hurricane season runs June through November, with most risk of storms from August to October. During this time weather can be steamy and rainy.

For those who want to catch some action, the liveliest times to visit Eleuthera are Christmas during the annual Junkanoo celebration, the Pineapple Festival and Conch Fest in June, and the North Eleuthera Sailing Regatta in October. Reserve hotel rooms early.

I have never heard of Eleuthera until now. It looks a wonderful place to visit and sounds like a very peaceful and tranquil place. Even though it is very small, there does appear to be lots of places to eat and stay. Great that you mention the best times to go, especially if you want it a bit livelier. There seems to be lots on throughout the year with their festivals and celebrations so that’s good to know for readers who love to travel.

Great article again. I personally own a small sailboat and I would love to visit the North Eleuthera Sailing Regatta in October one day. It is funny that the post says that you could enjoy the pink beaches, but I don’t seem to see that in the photos. A part from that, it looks like a lovely place.

After reading this post on Eleuthera, I have put it on my bucket list as a place that I definitely want to visit. I have never been to the Bahamas, and Eleuthera sounds idyllic. I love the idea of only hearing the ocean, and no other noise to disrupt the quiet island life.

You have shared some very good tips on the weather and best times to visit Eleuthera. But what is the best way to get to the island, is it an easy boat trip? Is it far from the main land? Thank you.
