Lugaria Weather – When to Visit

With the mildest of climates, tourists visit Liguria at all times of the year, but November and February can be wet and are best avoided. There are things to do all year round: from fascinating museums and fabulous palaces to visit, to beaches and wild mountain countryside to explore.

The high-season that runs from May to September and the coast can get very busy, especially at weekends. It is hot in Liguria in summer and it is not the best time to explore Genoa. It is essentially a beach experience in this season but it is also a beautiful period to spend time in the mountains, which are degrees cooler than the coast. August can be disappointing for visiting Genoa, as many restaurants close for the entire month and the city can be uncharacteristically empty.

In winter, when the air is clear and the views are at their best, it is a joy to walk along the Cinque Terre path in peace and gaze out across the sea to Corsica. Spring and autumn are best for sightseeing and any kind of sporting activity that doesn’t involve cooling off in the sea.

Having read a few of your articles I am starting to realize the amount of spots you can visit when going to Italy. When you think of Italy you think of Rome, Naples ect. I so appreciate you expanding my mind and diving into all these really cute little spots to travel!

When you mentioned sea-driven cuisine I was instantly interested. A big reason for me traveling to Italy would be to experience the food, so I want a spot that will really highlight that for me.

Camogli Beach looks to be my favorite out of the beaches you explained.

    Thanks!

I don’t usually look for luxury when booking a vacation, but when I read the words “archaeology” and “architecture”, I thought I might make an exception. I love archaeology, pyramids, and the like, as well as admiring the architecture of different cities.

Out of the places you mentioned, the one that interests me the most is Balzi Rossi Beach.

Now, let me ask you something. I know it depends on several factors, but what is a realistic budget for a one-week trip to Liguria? Just hotels, meals, and activities. I know the flight price will depend on my point of origin.

Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to your reply.

Boy, even a budget would be hard to gauge.  If you email some dates to leahraearend@gmail.com, it would be easier to give you a budget.  Hotel rates and airfare really depend on when you want to visit.  Rates can fluctuate a lot.  I look forward to hearing from you, and I can put something together for you.

Mamma mia! Liguria is beautiful! The first beach I want to visit is Camogli Beach. I am a photographer, and I want to take my drone for some shots over there. The video you embedded in your post has given me several ideas of shots that haven’t been taken and would generate breathtaking results. Overall, I started to plan my journey there. I am excited, to say the least!

I visited Italy very briefly when I was younger and always wanted to go back. The old world intertwined with the new and contemporary is most attractive. I would enjoy exploring cities such as Imperia, Florence, Savona, and the capital Genoa. I could get lost in all the art, architecture, boat trip to La Spezia to do snorkeling and to swim and eat at the natural pool in Bagni Medusa. With all that there is to do and a fair $146/night at the Melia Genova Liguria certainly has caught my attention.

I already said, Italy is a great destination. Already visited some really cool places, and fell in love with Taormina long time ago. I have never been to Lugaria, and it seems very nice as all other Italian cost beautiful places. My friend visited Cinque Terre and according to her, this is the most beautiful place in Lugaria. I see now this recommendation, wonderful!

Italy is on my bucket list, as I’ve heard it’s wonderful there!  I would love to visit Liguria and take advantage of the beautiful historic sights there, as well as the beaches.  Camogli Beach would be a day trip for me so I can enjoy the activities and excitement of a busy beach!  Sant’ampeglio Beach is a must so I can be close to the historic village (which I would visit the same day!).  I’ll wrap it up with a 3-Hour Rome Piazzas Private Walking Tour!  Thank you for posting!

Hi there, although I live in Italy, I have only once been to Cinque Terre, but never to Genoa or the surrounding beaches. Cinque Terre is very beautiful and well worth a visit, but prepare yourself that it is very expensive compared with many other areas of Italy. We did do some lovely walks along the cliff tops, following a mountain track between the villages.

I would like to return to Liguria and explore the area more, as there is loads to see and do.

Haha, great food? Say no more. I’m down. Haha. No, but seriously. Whenever I travel tasting the local food and cuisine is one of my favorite things to do. You can find so many awesome foods and new tastes. I mean, there have been numerous times when I’ve taken a recipe leaflet back with me.

It looks like a really great place to visit. Plus, Italy is definitely not that far from where I live.

Since I have two children and I don’t really like overcrowded places, the Sant’ampeglio Beach sounds amazing. I bet my girls would love those natural pools. Kayaking on Riviera also sounds wonderful. 🙂 Thank you for sharing. 🙂
