Best Places to Stay in Paros and Antiparos

Looking for the best places to stay in Paros and Antiparos? Paros has been tagged as primarily a ferry hub in recent times. Yet Paros’ bustling capital with its ancient remains, the resort town of Naoussa and sweet rural villages are all the more charming for their relative lack of crowds, and there’s plenty to do, with good walks, plus excellent windsurfing, kite-surfing and diving.

Antiparos lies dreamily offshore from Paros. As soon as your ferry docks, there’s a distinct slowing down in the pace of things. The main village and port (also called Antiparos) are relaxed. There’s a touristy gloss around the waterfront and main street, but the village runs deep inland to quiet squares and alleyways that give way suddenly to open fields. Find all of your beach essentials here for your Paros/Antiparos vacation. You can also visit our Cyclades Travel Guide or Pinterest for information on all the best Cyclades Islands.

Paros & Antiparos Weather (When to Visit)

Peak holiday season on Paros is from early July to the end of August, when temperatures are higher, crowds of foreigners and locals travel to the Greek islands. You won’t miss out on warm weather if you come in late May, June, September and early October which is an excellent time to visit. If resting, sightseeing or even cycling and hiking is the reason you visit Paros, then late Spring and early autumn is best since the temperature is very pleasant, and there is no traffic. In July and August; beaches, bars and nightclubs are at their busiest. And of course hotels will be booked solid.

This beach is one of the most popular on the island, and, with its bar, umbrellas and sunbeds for rent, is the most similar to that of the other more famous islands’ “party beaches.” It tends to attract young couples and locals, and fewer families with children, as the water is not as shallow and it has a few rocks. Wow, this post makes me dream off tropical places where I can swim in blue waters ! I have never heard of Paros and Antiparos, but I definitly will be saving up for a nice holiday like this with I’m sure : some good food ? Is the local food comparable with the Greek food you can eat here in the restaurants ? I bet that over there it tastes 10 times as good 😉

Interesting read about beach destinations, I found this information worth reading as I love travelling and am sure many travelers will appreciate it too. I took more interested on Sifneikos beach due to sunset and possible waves, otherwise am more into a bit less crowded beaches.

Some of my friends who will be vacationing mid this year love crowded beach sports and just forwarded this article to each of them.

    Thanks for sharing,

Hi there Leahrae.  How are you doing today?  I’ve read a few of your beach reviews before, and can i tell you, i just love them.

This one is no exception at all.  Lovely beaches on Paros & Antiparos.  Each one that you do about the Greek islands leaves me just amazed.  I had no idea that the islands in that area of the world were so beautiful.

Here i was thinking that only the Caribbean region and a few other places on this side of the world were blessed with such beautiful white sand beaches.

I want to ask though.  When are you going to do the amazing beaches in the Caribbean region? Particularly those in Jamaica.  I believe you would love the beaches at Negril, Jamaica.

Wow those waters are really enticing! To be honest, I hadn’t heard a whole lot about Paros & Antiporos until I came across your post here, so this is really valuable information. Good to know that late July into August is the best and most popular time to go. That will help with the planning process for sure. From your beach listing Agios Georgios Beach and Glyfa Beach look especially amazing and a bit remote, which is what I would look for if traveling here. With so many excellent activity, restaurant and bar recommendations here I will definitely save your post to reference when planning. Thanks for the excellent travel recommendation!

Wow! So beautiful! I have always wanted to vacation in the Mediterranean, but have not been able to do so as of yet. I especially loved the drone footage. I know I have a bunch of family somewhere in Sicily, so maybe one day I will be able to connect with them and get myself out to that part of the world. As a chef, I particularly love seeing your info on restaurants in the area. What is a vacation without sampling some of the wonderful foods of the region? I think this is why I loved Anthony Bourdain so much.

When I see all these pictures with such a blue sea and the clean beaches I can say that it reminds me of summer and I am very excited. It is enough to see these landscapes and realize that it is about Greece. The most beautiful place in Europe that I recommend to everyone during the summer is clearly Greece. Here the food is very good and the prices for hotels  are very cheap. I have never been to Paros & Antiparos but I will definitely go. So far I have only tried Thasos and here I have had a very pleasant experience. I can’t wait to go back to Greece. Wish you all the best!
