Hi, Menorca for me has always had that slightly upscale but also somehow less developed air to it. I think that is borne out by your descriptions. I have been to Mallorca more than 30 years ago and it was quite developed back then. It is very clear from your article that Menorca has many attractions and it is well worth a visit. Best regards, Andy

I can thoroughly appreciate a great scenic view of crystal clear, Beautiful blue waters.  I never knew about Menorca, Spain before reading this article.

I always thought the tropical areas of the world were only around the Carribean islands and Hawaii.  Well, I guess I can add this place to the list as well.  One of the items I like to know about when traveling is how is the weather year round.  This place based on the blog/article indicates that even the winters are mild.

Warm weather is one of my TOP highlights for places to visit.  Not only that, this place has archaeological and historical history.  So, that makes it an ideal travel location to visitors like myself who really enjoy warm weather.

This is yet another place I could see myself paying a visit to so hopefully, the opportunity arises and I will take full advantage when the time comes.

Thanks for providing the insights about this travel location and the video was very scenic as well.

Wow, what a beautiful beach destination! The Cala Mitjaneta is certainly a beautiful beach and looks like a great place to enjoy a day in the sun. It looks more crowded than the other featured Menorca beaches, but the unique view seems like it would be worth the more crowded space. So exciting — I am checking hotel availability now!!

Great Aly, sometimes I like to head to the crowded beach for the people watching, and sometimes I enjoy quieter spaces.  But such a unique view at Cala Mitjaneta is definitely worth it!

    Hi,

Your description of Menorca Spain, is all very tempting. You have highlighted the best beaches but more importantly you also included other tourist attractions which I did not realise existed. Looks like on my next visit to Spain for a family getaway I will definitely incorporate Menorca as one of the main stops.

Overall great article with just enough information to wet my appetite.

    Cheers

I have never been to any of the Balearic islands, and Menorca does look like an idyllic destination. I would love to visit places like the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and the old historic town of Ciudadela. The beaches all look beautiful and pristine, and I will spend a day at each one of them.

You mention that at Cuk Cuk one can learn to cook using local produce, which is something that really appeals to me. Do they offer these classes all year round, or only during the popular summer months?

You go to Cuk Cuk to cook your own meal.  So it’s open year rounds.  They have rave reviews and I would love to cook the paella.  Sounds like you would enjoy Menorca.  Thanks for stopping by.

    Leahrae:
I am so jealous of your lifestyle. Getting the opportunity to travel to such beautiful places like Menorca and take in the local dining, accommodations, and attractions, WoW! Menorca’s climate sounds a lot like Malibu, California’s climate. They both have the same temperature range and seasons. And after reading your review, my wife and I are making plans to visit this August.

I will definitely check out Tortuga Beach seeing I am an avid kayaker and always looking for a new adventure. But the pictures of Cala Mitjaneta beach look incredible. Those beautiful aqua blue coves and cliffs makes it feels like you’re living in paradise. I am trying to get more info on Cala del Pilar because I love to hike and explore, and the reddish sand against the clear ocean water sounds like a photo-op.

As far as local cuisine, fresh fish comes to mind. I do want to check out the secret garden at Cuk Cuk, but it sounds like Cap Roig is the place to go for seafood. And on those nights, we’re not going to have seafood, you will find us at Ciao Belli, traditional Italian food is hard to come by, and my wife being Italian, has some pretty high standards. But getting a taste of Italy at the beaches of Menorca sounds like a scene out of a romantic movie.

I googled the historic old town of Ciudadela and can’t wait to see ancient antiquities; and the remains of Naveta des Tudons site. Haven’t been this excited to plan a trip in years. This is a great, informative article and review. When we get there in August I will post up some of our trip.

Seldom do I visit a website that makes me smile – this is one of them.  It is a delight to watch, well laid out, and with a YouTube video that shows the destination – WOW!

I was not familiar with this island previously – I had to go to the map on the bottom of the site and keep minimizing until I could see it was near the eastern coast of Spain.  It is a beautiful place, I would LOVE to go there!

This is a truly beautiful site that really makes me want to book the next flight!  I am going to have to save your site for when I might be able to take advantage of some of these beautiful destinations!

Thank you for this details, one of those things I watch out for before visiting a destination is what the weather is going to be when I am there. You address and explained the best time to visit and the weather, perfect! For me, I don’t like a climate that can me warm, and then too cold at night.  Menorca seems to have just the right temperature for me.  I think I would go in between the hottest and coolest time of the year.

I also appreciated the information on the best beaches to visit while in Menorca.  Great information!

This is what dreams are made of! What a beautiful island and so very pretty, I feel relaxed just looking at the pictures and I enjoyed the aerial video. I’ve always felt drawn to the clear, turquoise waters of the Mediterranean. So this is where the famous Tortuga Bay (from Pirates of the Caribbean movie fame) is, I always wondered. A terrific range of activities from luxury yachts to 4WD discovery and some pretty luxury accommodation. My pick would be the Melia Cala Galdana, I simply love rooms with large glass windows to an ocean view. Planning my holiday now, great review.

I am definitely a sun seeker, and that information about Menorca just got my attention. When I watched the aerial video of beaches, they seem so quiet and peaceful. It’s a must-visit for couples or even small families. The only reason for me to stop travelling is the covid pandemic in my country.

Just wanted to know if Menorca has an international airport?

Yes, because Spain is open.  They do have some precautions in place, but unless you have covid when you are visiting, you are allowed to vacation in Spain.  Glad you enjoyed your visit to my Menorca Spain Hotels guide.
