Luxury Accommodations in Florianopolis Brazil

Looking for luxury accommodations in Florianopolis Brazil? In Florianopolis, or Floripa (as the locals call it), is safe, fun and has many similar attractions to the ones found in Brazil’s major cities. Plus, Floripa has a unique, almost magical charm to it. Floripa appeals to every type of traveler, especially adventurous ones. Particularly the southern tip that’s remote and filled with white-sand beaches, diverse hiking trails and lush rain forests.

Experience lush rain forest trails that run along local farms that sell fresh fruit and produce, discover hidden coves with white-sand beaches and seaside huts, or go hiking on the many trail. Make sure to try the Naufragados hiking trail which leads to a private beach.

Head to the center of the island for a more hippie vibe. It’s a trendy area with rustic restaurants and artsy cafes; perfect for backpackers and intrepid travelers. Step foot near Lagoa da Conceição and find the center of it all – a great place for nightlife, surfer shops and live music. Visit the most amazing beaches in Brazil here, or on Pinterest.

Florianopolis Weather – When to Visit

For those interested in beach life and looking for high temperatures, December to March (the high season) is a good time to visit Florianópolis. Unless you are a surf fan, do not go during the Brazilian winter (June to September). From the week before Christmas until Carnival (February or early March) flights and accommodation will be more expensive and expect crowds and traffic jams to the beaches. Brazilian summer (December to March) is the rainiest period, but rainfalls are typically of short duration and temperatures average 77ºF or somewhat higher, and average sea water temperatures average 78ºF. If you are looking for festivals, consider the Réveillon (New Year’s) and the Carnival periods.

This article provides anyone who wishes to vacation in Florianopolis Brazil everything they need to pick the accommodations right for them as well as to plan ahead on the activities to spend their time at. The summary of the various beaches gives a good idea of what is in store for beach lovers.

When I checked the hotel details, I was amazed at how affordable the prices are. I couldn’t believe that there are places there that charge as little as $27 a night.

Your beach destination reviews are outstanding and this is no exception.

It’s hard to find a great vacation destination that has it all, isn’t it?

Most cities in the world are either too hot or too cold for travelers.

Thank you for recommending Florianopolis. It is a tropical paradise with warm weather year round and plenty of activities to enjoy outdoors. Your guide has opened up many possible activities and places to visit.

I have included Florianopolis to my bucket list.

    Thank you.

When I first looked at this I thought there was no way I could afford to stay at any of these Hotels, but after looking they are pretty reasonable. Do they accept an International driver’s license if I want to hire a car? Or is the traffic absolutely crazy? I live in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam so am used to high traffic levels, but normally drive a motorcycle. Can I hire a motorcycle there?. I really want to travel to Brazil but are you still affected by Covid.

    Thanks

    Stephen.

Thank you for the informative article about Floripa.  I appreciate that you clearly stated the places of attraction like beaches, rain forests and hiking trails.  The article is helpful in that it tells the visitor when prices are affordable and which are the best months to visit this lovely place.  The eating places are also mentioned.  The hotels are shown and the ratings and price ranges are clear.  Thank you very much for an interesting article.

Your first paragraphs paint the picture of a perfect tropical holiday – white sandy beaches, lush rainforest trails, hiking, etc. It’s exactly what one needs to reenergize from toxic city life. The weather seems perfect as I’ve never had a love for the cold. On a personal level, I think Lagoinha Beach is the best due to what you mention about seclusion, and it looks picturesque in the thumbnail as well.

These wonderful islands, full of natural beauty forms a unique place on earth. I would like to visit at least one of these wonderful islands.  I would like you to visit them all, although it is quite expensive. Wow, Florianopolis looks like a huge city with lots to explore! I’d love to spend some time and experience the areas with the “hippie” vibes while soaking up the sunshine! I’m located in the Northern hemisphere, so this would be a perfect place to escape the cold weather winters of January and February at home and enjoy the heat of a Brazilian summer.

I agree, although I don’t really see winter weather here in Florida but it is chilly right now in the 70s!  The Brazilian sun would be a nice warm up for sure!

Wow! I have a friend from Rio, and he has always told me wonders about his country. He’s mentioned Florianapolis many a time, and all the pictures I’ve seen online look amazing.

If I had to choose just one beach, I’d go with Campeche. I love calm waters, and there’s a bonus. I’m into archaeology too, so it’d be fascinating to visit some ruins too.

I hope to visit someday. I need to start saving up lol. Thanks for sharing.

I have already booked flights to Hercílio Luz International Airport. I hope to be there at Florianópolis when the month of December begins. I have to attend some academic activities at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. But I will also set apart time to enjoy the beach. Looking forward to this trip.

Florianopolis looks like a destination in Brazil that’s worth a visit. Not only are there the lovely beaches, it’s also close to rain forest. Given the fact that so much of the Amazon is located in Brazil, it would be a shame to go there and not see any of the plants and animals of the rain forest. Of course, you’d need an experienced guide, because the rain forest can also be potentially dangerous.

A beach vacation is exactly the ticket for the hard working corporate Joe. A website with all the information in one place to encourage a complete experience booked in one setting.

Great work with the advice on the right time to visit for the experience desired. I would attempt to avoid the rainy time and yet want to void crowds too.

Yes, I don’t want to head to Brazil during the rainy weather either.  I can get that here at home LOL.  But there are plenty of places in Brazil to feel absolutely void of mass crowds.  I believe you will love Florianopolis Brazil!
