Exmouth Australia

Exmouth Australia is on the northern gateway to the Ningaloo Coast World Heritage Area, and is the perfect base to explore the beautiful Cape Range National Park and Ningaloo Marine Park. Visitors come from around the world to swim with the gentle giants of the sea – the whale sharks, manta rays and humpback whales.

Divers and snorkelers will want to visit Ningaloo Reef, the largest fringing reef in Australia. The Exmouth Navy Pier is referred to as the aquarium without glass. Here you will see more species of fish than any other diving site. Beautiful Cape Range National Park has breathtaking canyons, limestone ranges and 50 kilometers of coastline. Wildlife such as emus, wallaroos, red kangaroos, dingoes, echidnas and a variety of birds and reptiles are sighted daily.

Exmouth Weather – When to Visit

Winter (May thru October) is the most popular time to visit the Pilbara region of Australia’s North West. Daytime temperatures range from 68°F to 86°F, perfect for enjoying all outdoor activities. On the coast, nights are cool with fresh breezes, while inland the wind off the desert can see temperatures a little chillier.

For the best whale sharks and humpback whales, the best time to visit the Ningaloo Reef is between the end of March and October. April and July are the best time if you are wanting to snorkel with a whale shark. August thru October is the best time to see humpback whales up close.

This is such an inspiring post to start planning a trip to Exmouth in Australia. I love going to Australia and have been to the east coast a few times, but never to the north west. So Exmouth will definitely be added as a destination in Australia when I start planning the holiday.

Most Australian beaches are to die for and it certainly looks as if Exmouth will not disappoint me.

I really want to visit Sandy Bay Beach and Exmouth Beach. I have been fascinated with the drone video you included on your post and I also have some ideas for taking pictures with drones.

I’m a photographer and I want to take advantage of how important sites look now that COVID-19 is around. I way not be able to take these pictures ever again.

Hi and thank you for explaining what we do at Exmouth Australia. I’ve been dreaming to go there in the next year or so, especially after this pandemic has been ended. I plan to go cruising there with my family. The view seems nice 🙂 Also, are there any vegetarian restaurants nearby? Thank you for the answer

    Hi Leahrae,

This is such an interesting website with fabulous content. I especially liked the writeup about Exmouth Australia. You have taken pains to provide so much good information about the various places and resorts where one can visit and stay. Australia looks really beautiful and though I have visited about 25 countries around the world, I have not been fortunate enough to travel to Australia. Let’s hope I get a chance soon after this COVID scare is over.

    Thanks.

What wildlife can one expect to see in the above mention destinations? Having to see wildlife really improves my experience more especially if I visit a place outside my continent. I have heard a lot about Pebble Beach from sitcoms and all. I can say that it is my first time actually reading a an article about the place and I am convinced that I will enjoy my stay there. Great article. I loved it.

Hi Ezra, there is plenty of wildlife.  Whale sharks, turtles, a huge variety of colorful fish, humpback whales, and dugong underwater.  On land of course you have the kangaroo, wallaby, dingo, bungarra and echidna 🙂  No convincing needed!  You will love Exmouth and Australia in general.  Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Finding the right beach to relax on and work on getting a tan seems like a trivial affair but is actually something that much thought should be given into. Planning an enjoyable vacation also includes picking the ideal vacation spot so it’s great that you’ve recommended and given a thorough review of the relaxation destinations.

Hi Leahrae.  Wow! I live for beaches.  I would love to plan my next vacation somewhere in the world.  Not sure where though.  Your site is a good place to start.  I have been to Perth Australia many years ago.  Alot like the states.  When I am ready to begin planning I will definately check out your site.  I read your bio and appreciate your passion for beach travel.  My wife and I spend a week last year on Maui at the Kapalu Bay Villas right next to the beach.  What a wonderful place.  By the way, thank you for showing so many pictures.  Make a beach dreamer dream and want to go there.  I am originally from Oregon.  Perhaps I am bias because I grew up there, but I am very fond of the Oregon coast.  It is a great place for vacation.  I see that you posted information on your site.  Good to know…

First I want to thank you for taking the time to leave me some great comments.  I too, live for the beach.  The Oregon coast is beautiful.  I would live there except for the rain.  So here I am in sunny Florida just 10 minutes away from the beach 🙂  Glad you enjoyed!
