Bermuda Travel Guide

Just a two-hour flight from most East Coast U.S. cities, Bermuda is a quick getaway that feels worlds away. It’s tranquil and prosperous with pastel houses and manicured gardens. A comfortable climate provides year-round opportunities for outdoor recreation on their famous pink sand beaches, at championship golf courses, and in the beautiful waters. Combine this with excellent, varied shopping and dining, and it’s easy to see why Bermuda is a great vacation destination. Continue with our Bermuda Travel Guide to start planning your vacation today.

Bermuda Weather – Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Bermuda is in March or April when the temperate weather is comfortable for the beach, even if it’s not quite warm enough for swimming yet. The prices aren’t as high as they are during the busiest season, from May to October. If you’re more interested in golfing, plan your trip for the wintertime. Bermuda is relatively cool in the winter, and you’ll score the greatest discounts.

From May to October, you’ll find mild, beach-ready temperatures from the 70s to the mid-80s. That’s when you’ll also find comfortable water temperatures. During the peak season, hotel rates can be high, though there are still affordable properties to be found. Just plan early if you want to visit during peak season (about three months ahead).

I have a friend who went on a trip to Bermuda around 5 years ago and according to her, Elbow beach was by far the best memory throughout the whole trip. Temperatures are so different than what everyone else things so it’s a nice surprise having a little more of a tropical vacation rather than being in cold weather all of the time.

My favorite type of vacation 🙂  I grew up in cold weather, and live on the beach now which suits me perfectly.

I’ve been to several places in the Caribbean but Bermuda is still on my list. I’m glad to see there’s more to do there than I originally thought. It seemed like just a beach for honeymooners and I’m a much more active traveler. This article makes it look like a destination I might not get bored at after a day or two.

Visiting a Bermuda beach in March or April would be perfect because I live in a cold climate with long winters. After weeks of snow and cold, a change of scenery would be nice. The Kayak Eco Tour would be my choice. A relaxing Kayak ride and then a break in a private cove.  The glass bottom boats would be another great choice. Seeing all the water life while relaxing on a boat sounds so heavenly.  A rum swizzle with chocolate cookies sounds delicious. Which tour is your favorite?

I have always been impressed with Bermuda! That’s right, where beaches have their sand-colored pink!

The most well-known pink beach in Bermuda is Horseshoe Bay. I would like to go to the parish of Southampton, on the south coast of the island one day. It would be a thrill to take my camera down there.

This article makes me think “vacation time!” even though I live in a vacation area already (central Florida). The beautiful blue waters along the sandy shores are quite enticing.

I’ve never been to Bermuda, though have considered it. One important point for our family when planning any travel destination revolves around food choices. I’ve heard that seafood is plentiful but our family is vegetarian. Are there options for vegetarian (plant-based) foods at the nicer restaurants?

There are plenty of vegan restaurants.  If you visit here, you can see quite a list of choices.  I live in Florida too, and going to Bermuda is pretty easy on the budget

Bermuda looks like a wonderful holiday destination.

The beaches are beautiful and so inviting.  The Horseshoe Bay beach looks like an excellent place to spend the day.  I would love to be able to go snorkeling in that crystal clear water.

Mickey’s Beach bar sounds like just the place to spend the evening.  An informal meal while hearing the waves lap on the shore would be just perfect.

On the news this week, they were talking about Bermuda is open for turism right now and I was telling my husband we should go there for a week or maybe two, Bermuda has been on my wish list of places to visit for some time now, and it looks like a good place to visit after one year of staying at home. After reading your article, I have taken a few notes of things to do there, and I must say it would be a great place to spend a week or two to forget about the world and enjoy the moment!

Bermuda is one place on my list of places to visit and I cannot wait until Covid restrictions cool down a bit and it is safe to travel again! The video you posted was absolutely relaxing and enticing- such amazingly clear waters and rock formations! I also love that you listed the different beaches as well as top places to eat and tour info! All in all, a well rounded post! Keep up the good work! 🙂

I was wondering if there were any spots to avoid.. like places that are unsafe for tourists. Do you know of any?

I love, love, love Bermuda!  I have always gone in by cruise ship and we have always docked at St. George’s Square so that is my favorite part of the island.  Tobacco Bay is a great beach with interesting rock formations and tropical fish. The people are friendly and helpful.  Hamilton is a must-do for a day of shopping, both tourist junk and high-quality items!  Thank you for posting!!

Oh my! I need to get out more often. That place is beautiful. I’ve never been to Bermuda but, I definitely see myself going there. I can also see why people are always talking about going there. I also hear them say that if you go to Bermuda you may never return…lol. Is this the same beach that they call the Bermuda triangle? Just curious.

I didn’t know that you can book vacations that far in advance. Interesting. Is it cheaper to book trips with travel agents too? I’ve heard that they can also offer deals but, I’ve never tried one before. Either way, one day I may make it to the Bermuda beaches, well see. Thank you for sharing this beautiful scenery.

The Bermuda Triangle is actually closer to Turks & Caicos and the Bahamas, right smack in the middle of the ocean.  Yes, booking in advance can and will save you money.  Generally you can get just as good of prices as a Travel Agent, unless you are booking a package.  They give great rates with packages.  But you can do that as well on your own with a bit of research.  Thanks for visiting my Bermuda Travel Guide.
