The Best of Belleair Beach

The Best of Belleair Beach! Belleair Beach is two miles long and borders Clearwater and Sand Key Park on the North and Indian Rocks Beach on the South.

The City of Belleair Beach is an upscale residential community with a relaxed peaceful atmosphere. Beach residents are proud to have preserved one of the last strictly residential beach neighborhoods in Pinellas County.

Belleair Beach has many park facilities, including 4500 feet of beach with four beach access ways and three resident-only beach parking areas, eleven public parks including Morgan Beach Park, the Causeway beach area, two tennis courts, and a municipal Marina. You can visit all of the area St. Petersburg & Clearwater Beaches here, or visit us on Pinterest.

Belleair Beach Florida Weather – When to Visit

The best time to visit Belleair Beach is between October and December. During these months, you’ll find low humidity, fewer tourists and many holiday events to experience. However, October and November technically fall within the Atlantic hurricane season, and even though they are not peak hurricane months, you should be aware of the possibility of a storm developing. July, August and September’s frequent rainstorms and January, February and March’s high volume of snowbirds (retirees and part-time residents from the northern U.S.) make summer and winter two seasons to avoid. If viewing wildlife is your main objective, consider visiting in April, May or June when migratory birds, stingrays and sea turtles are commonly spotted. While the area is different every season, Belleair Beach benefits from warm weather year-round.

I enjoy birdwatching and other wildlife too, so this would be a nice area to visit at the right time of year for those activities. My sister is a frequent snowbird in that region, but I’m never interested in spending time with crowds of people just socializing. I’ll stick to where I can view the birds and dolphins, etc. I’m not a fan of too much heat, so April might be the best time to see birds and enjoy the outdoor life of Belleair Beach and Florida. It’s very different from the cooler climate where I live. I’d probably get to see some birds native to that part of Florida that I normally wouldn’t encounter.

I used to have some good friends who lived at Belleair beach and spent some time there when I was a kid. It’s absolutely fantastic. Reading your article brought back some good memories from that time. My brother is looking to move to Florida pretty soon. He currently lives here in Newport Beach but wants to get out of California. So these look like some good possible options. What’s your favorite out of those you listed? Love, Sam

I live in Clearwater, but I am looking to sell and move.  I am looking at anything from Belleair Beach down to St Pete, or anything in between.  Redington Shores has a wonderful laid back atmosphere.  I just want to be right on the water 🙂  Thanks for visiting my Belleair Beach Florida Hotels guide.

This certainly looks a lot sunnier than where I live in Scotland in the United Kingdom. Over here, we get all weathers in the space of five minutes. Wind, rain, sleet, hail, snow and sun again. It would be nice to just chill somewhere like this and get constant heat and sunshine all day long, everyday.

Yes, I think I will stick to Florida LOL.  I lived in Alaska for 22 years, and that was enough cold weather for me.  Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to leave me comments.

Hi Lahrae, thank you for sharing this awesome article. The Belleair Beach Florida Hotels is an amazing place to go and relax and even work from if you are an online entrepreneur. I like where you’ve explained everything so clear and detailed for everyone to understand Thank you for this. I will never get enough from these beaches, so fascinated so beautiful. Unfortunately, I do not have any experience regarding this topic. My question now do you know which one is pet friendly as my furry family member cant let him alone at home? Thank you for sharing.

This sounds like a nice vacation area, with lots to do. I’ve never really been to a beachy area, aside from a few lake shores around my home-town. That’s not quite the same thing. I would love to do the dolphin watching, and my husband has always wanted to do a cruise. So those sound like a lot of fun. Are most of these attractions available year-round, or only during certain months?

Everything here is pretty much year round unless there is a hurricane headed our way.  We always know when they are coming, so something to look at when planning a vacation to Florida.  Thanks for visiting Jessi!

That all sounds so incredible,  I’m wondering, however, if Belair Beach is one of the last “locals only” beaches in that area, then is it a good idea to visit there if you are NOT a local?  They don’t do the blue crush style hazing like in Hawaii right? Sorry, I didn’t mean that to sound SOOO ignorant.

There are access points to Belleair Beach, so it’s not “locals only”.  The parking is a lot more sparse, but so worth it as it is pretty open.  Not crowded like some of the other beaches.

    Hi,

I can’t seem to get enough of the white sandy beaches, blue waters, bright sunshine, and feeling of peace I feel as I navigate your website!  I’m pleasantly surprised that a trip to Belleair Beach is so reasonably priced and a fun family destination. Do you know about pet-friendly spots/hotels?

Thanks for doing all the research and posting,

Clearwater north beach allows dogs, that is where I take mine, as well as Honeymoon Island.  There are plenty of pet-friendly hotels.  The top reviewed ones are Springhill Suites Clearwater, Residence Inn Clearwater Downtown, La Quinta Inn Clearwater Central, and the Residence Inn Clearwater Beach.  There are more, but these have the highest ratings.  Let me know if you have any other questions.  I would be happy to help!

Belleair Beach sounds and looks like another superb destination in Florida. One Tree Island sound very interesting with literally just one tree! From the photograph it looks like a very popular destination with all the boats and yachts around the island. It will be hard to choose which one of the sunset cruises to go on. You have provided some great tips on when to visit, and a wonderful selection of things to do. Thanks.

And I am glad to read you also recommend going to Belleair beach between October and December. I am particularly interested in visiting One Tree Island Beach.

One-Tree Island sounds like a riot.  That would be a blast to check out for something different.  It is nice to hear that the area has been preserved by the residents, as so many touristy beach destinations feel congested, polluted and over-capitalized.  Belleair Beach sounds especially nice for a visitor to this area.  It just seems nice because it is so laid back, there are fewer people, and the overall vibe is calmer and more relaxed.
